Former 2019 DL commit has heard from Simpson, still interested in Canes

He also had this to say on TOS today:

The latest with him and Miami?
“The day coach (Jess) Simpson first got hired they made sure me and him got on the phone and I talked to him,” Hunter said. “I love him. He came from my favorite NFL team, the Atlanta Falcons. He kind of got it already. We’re starting to build that relationship that me and coach Kool (Craig Kuligowski) didn’t really have. He’s very verbal with me, we can talk. I like the dude, he’s nice, different. I think he’s a nice fit for the University of Miami and I think he can lead the defensive line to be great.”

This kid must have a split personality...

Ok I feel like my head is spinning. The following is from his interview on TOS:

Not to many of these prima donnas every amount to much... especially on the Dline and oline... Its fine if your a skill position but when it comes to having that dog and drive you can get eaten alive

Just put a CB in for him for Marshall

Not sure if you’re serious, but why do you think he’ll end up at Marshall?

Usually kids this talented are at Marshall because they fell off the wagon at some point

Grades, with his attitude I dont think he will put in the work to get the grades to enroll at a P5 school. Similar to Angelo Jean-Louis(Who bombed out of Marshall) he will sign with a P5 then find himself in Huntington, WV enrolling in classes in August at a Non-Qualifier.

so the kid on another interview said him and Kool talked and had a good relationship but he didn't have one with richt, but now him and Kool didn't have one?

I can't follow...

I CB Nayquan Wright for Marshall because we never stopped recruiting him during his injury and we sign a Carol City kid the last 2 years

Scurry is another kid with grade issues that could end up signing with Marshall especially since we are moving to an Air Raid offense.

I'd pass on this one.

Far too many quality DL just in the state alone.

And we can actually go outside the state, too.

so every kid who has questionable grades is going to Marshall. lol.
yeah, usually when a kid with lot of power 5 offers starts listing Marshall it's usually b/c of grades, but, not every kid is going to Marshall. lol.

Off-topic: but with kool he had complete autonomy with offers and such for d-linemen. Is that power now on Diaz side.

Where did I say every kid? Doc usually doesnt miss on his Highly rated kids that have grade issues. Last one I remember was Emmitt Gooden who decided to go to a JUCO instead of enrolling and sitting out a year.

Haven’t heard Angelo Jean-Louis’s name in a while. Would have been a stud at Marshall if he kept his **** together

Yup pretty much, cant show up late to workouts and practice, fail multiple drug tests, **** off the seniors, and post pictures of a bookbag full of money in your dorm room and expect for Doc to keep you around long no matter if you are an All-Freshman conference team member.

Doc wanted to move him into the slot to use his route running ability and he acted like such a cry baby about it. Funny thing is it was the players that wanted him gone before the coaches.

"Lack of contact from the head coach". Not what we need to hear when forever we have needed top DT talent. Recruiting does involve the distasteful need to kiss the asses of hs kids.
