Imagine talking **** when your team has been at the bottom of the league for 9 years. Red Wings are the FSU of the NHL

Which is sad because I grew up in Michigan in the 80’s and the Wings were awesome for about 20 years. But that was also before there was a salary cap and owner Mike Ilitch just wanted to win. He’s the person who started Little Caesar’s Pizza.

The rivalry with the Avs in the 90’s and early 00’s was a thing of beauty. So many all time great players on both side.

Canadian here and I played Jr A hockey in Ontario Canada.

That was one **** of a game.

Being as objective as possible, Canada was running the show but just couldn't bury there chances.
USA (i.e., you guys) did a great job with the opportunities and Hellebuyck, my goodness he was on top of his head.

The Hughes brother has laser sniper rifles with the puck in there hands and, I noticed it throughout the olympiques, those guys can really snipe once their within 20ft its pretty well game over.

Honestly, one of the best games I've ever watched (I'm 40) and USA deserved it and I think we're going to see a new rivalry happen, if it already hasn't, between USA and Canada, taking over from Russia and Canada.

Congrats on that victory. I was in a sports bar with about 40 other ppl starting at 730am and the reaction was all the same!

One **** of a ride and can't wait to see more of the action!

They "super team" was based the Russian Five with 5 years of gelling with Yzerman giving leadership. It was a great team, but that's what that organization hangs their hat on.

On the grassroots level, when they come across the border the "Detroit Honeybaked" and a very well known program across Ontario and compete at the highest level with the best of the best teams in Ontario and a feeder for the OHL.
 
When stuff like this comes up the conversation always centers around money. But the real issue for UM is always space. Where would they be able to build an on-campus or near campus hockey arena?

Also, it would have to include a chick hockey program as well. Hence even more money, add to the facilities, etc.

Why would it have to include a women team? Is there a new rule on that? ASU only have a men’s team.

Hellebuyck is why we have a gold medal. We really couldn’t skate with Canadas forwards and they were getting space most of the game. Then when Makar got activated it was next level. The power play kills and the insane goaltending were the difference. I mean McDavid and Celebrini both had break aways and came away with nothing. That’s crazy
