For us oldtimers...

How do you think Chris Johnson compares to say Emmitt? Even though Chris is undersized (ala Emmitt) he is tough and super fast (Emmitt was not considered super fast). Chris highlights are awesome!
I saw Emmitt play his Sr yr at Escambia....Johnson is much faster. Emmitt was just above average at UF, and then had the privilege of running behind arguably the Greatest OL in NFL History. Don't get me wrong, Emmitt was a Great NFL RB... But Freddie was the best HS RB I've ever seen, with Gore and Troy Davis right behind him.

Michael Irvin was the most dominate high school player I ever saw with Tucker Frederickson right in there. Russel Smith was impressive in High School too, averaged 10 yards a carry.

Even if you're going with pro careers as a gage, I would put Frank Gore in there over Emmitt Smith. Gore is top five all time and was WAY better than Emmitt Smith at every level.

If Barry Sanders ran behind Nate Newton, Larry Allen, Erick Williams, Mark Tuinei, and Stepnowski....any discussion about who's the Greatest RB in NFL History would be null & void....

It’s natural for folks to be biased to people from their era…or who they actually saw play. And this state has had some animals at RB but an all time list for FL that doesn’t have Travis Henry in the honorable mention group is laughable .

And if we’re keeping it a buck… Sean T as a HS RB was better than a few guys on that list.
