I posted something in a thread and I received a lot of pm's. I was a grad student at the time but I clearly remember this. The city of Miami offered the university of Miami $200 million to renovate the OB. But our cancerous ***** of a president refused their offer and move us to joe Robbie!

To a degree Randy was right. The die hard fans did and do go to No life Stadium, there just aren't that many of them. Hence why playing in such a gigantic stadium for a small private school is beyond moronic.

My uninformed guess is that Donna was afraid UM might have been asked to come up with some matching funds and she didn't want to do that for football. I think during that time they were in the middle of one their multi-BILLION fundraisers for the education side.
