I was on the Miami side 30 rows up 1st level.
The flags on top of the 400 Level were whipping the whole time.
The goal posts were shaking from the wind. Inside the stadium the wind was constantly swirling in all directions.... very difficult for kickers and returners.

Another reason to not want to be in the Big Ten. In SFLA we get wind like that only at the approach of a front or a tropical event.

If you watched the NFL games Friday and Saturday like Green Bay vs Chicago it was crazy windy that whole week through out the whole Midwest corridor.

It's called Tornado Alley for a reason. I live in the Midwest and the wind was definitely off the chain this past weekend.

I would go to Giants games. The winds in that stadium would be crazy at times.

I think you can blame the wind for impacting while also saying Dawson didn’t do much to help Beck. Hopefully Dawson learned his lesson and doesn’t spam craziness to Toney 30 times vs OSU.

Thank you. Please tell us about the crowd noise. On TV it’s seemed insane. It felt like almost impossible conditions to deal with. Several times you could tell the offensive players didn’t know the play. For example, on the last drive before half, Beck threw to Marion giving towards pylon. Marion had no clue. He came back to the huddle and mouthed something to the effect of “I didn’t know it was coming to me”. What are your thoughts on how the crowd noise affected the offense?

Two times Marion and Carson were totally out of sync. At first I thought Carson made a bad throw but then I realized Marion may have run the wrong route. It was very unlike their usual connection

I seem to recall games in Miami when wind was an issue. It does seem to swirl around and change direction more in HRS than it ever did in the open ended OB. I feel like November has been the most likely month for that

That throw to Daniel a before half looked like the wind blew it away also

It 100% did. I was in that row of orange at the top of section 414 in the pic Ruiz posted. Balls were fading and slicing all over like my golf shots. TV couldn’t have done justice to what the true conditions were. And on the FG that hit the upright, the wind was swirling as Davis kicked it and then suddenly died as it was approaching the goalpost. It was clear he started it left thinking the wind would push it right like it did the previous two. So he gets a pass in my book. We will need Davis to shake this game off and not let it affect his confidence in what I expect will be a low scoring affair that could come down to a kick made or missed.

I was in club level and it wasn't as windy on the sideline where I was sitting. But after seeing this photo, I'll give Carter Davis a pass.

What an awesome experience despite us needing oxygen and a parachute to get back down from that last row.

The constant “We have some Canes over here!!” Chants to all of the Canes chants we were doing. Just a great experience!

That first ball that Beck threw to Trader did exactly what Davis’s 1st kick did: start right down the middle and then a hard 90 degree right hand turn. Trader had his man beat and in normal conditions, that is likely a long completion.

I knew it was windy at the top of the stadium but that’s when I realized that things were going to be different.

Beck threw one later to CJ Daniels and the exact same thing happened.

One thing to point out is Beck doesn’t have gun slinger arm strength… most of his deep passes have a “soft” touch to it, makes it riskier to throw in conditions like that. We really should’ve gave Fletcher the ball 25-30 times, he likely would’ve ended up with over 300 yards rushing.

We were yelling from the last row of the stadium the whole time: stop with the gimmick **** and give the ball to Fletcher.

@Memnon said the same thing prior to the game when asked. Run the ball!!!

Shannon got away with it and he outsmarted himself although that game really made me question his football IQ.

Even when he called a run and Fletcher made a good long run, he would then on the next play go to the stupid wild cat or some kind of downfield throw.

Do it until they stop you!! Fletcher definitely should’ve had over 250 yards this game.
