I get that this is a terrible O line and that Richt needs time to get "his" players in to run the system he wants to run. I get that Kayaa isn't helping matters. That said, this is virtually the same personnel as last year's team which performed better under CoRch Coley's Check with Me system. With the players being a constant, why can't some on this board acknowledge the fact that Richt has not gotten the same level of achievement out of these players as Coley???

You can see him trying to tinker the offense to fit the needs of the OL and Kayaa, but it just isn't working.

Richt needs his guys in here to run his stuff. We don't have the quality of RBs to run downhill at people on 1st and 2nd down (**** we couldn't even gain 1 yard in two attempts against ND). We don't have the OL to push anyone off the ball (they aren't talented enough or strong enough). And we have players out of position, e.g. no true Tackle on the roster.

Kayaa, for all the crap he's taking, isn't even the main problem with this offense. It's lack of a run game, and the Ol unable to block long enough for Richt's play action passing game.

It's just gonna take a couple years. Richt isn't a first read spread guy.

look at the upperclasses and we lost QUAN and grace so they dont even count. who expects to win folden crooting these kids with purdue UCF and temple offers.

this is crazy no depth O Line is swizz cheese. 6 true freshman playing on defense at the same time smh

Forget this nonsense about "his" system...

He is a coach with 16 years experience and making $ 4 million this year as he whistles past the graveyard. He needs to adjust his philosophy to the players at hand.

The woes on this offense is his doing. We are much worse than last year. Every offensive snap is a challenge. This is not what you pay coaches at his level to produce.

I could understand if it was the D that was having struggles based on what NoD' had done over the last 5 seasons. Not the offense. It is totally on Richt starting with him hiring his son (who has no experience) as OC.

The offense is basically the same performance wise according to advanced metrics. The issue is that Kaaya seemed to grasp Coley's simple offense a lot better. He's struggling with the new system as it has a lot more reads and actual progressions. Despite his struggles the offenses are about he same according to the metrics. It's on Richt for not getting Kaaya to understand the system, though.

Agreed, talent level on O is worse then Duke and Syracuse (How do they recruit so well?) Until we get it up to that level it will be tough for Coach Richt.

Change the culture, get his players, and the O will be top 5 in CFB. 3 yards and a cloud of dust

RICHT U MUST OWN THESE BUMM *** CLASSES FOLDEN BROUGHT U IN THE JUNIORS AND SENIORS

U MUST OWN IT AND GRAB ON TO IT. THE SWIZZ CHEESE O LINE WITH NO DEPTH U MUST OWN THIS

THESE KIDS WITH PURDUE AND TEMPLE OFFERS U MUST PLAY U MUST OWN THIS

DABO SWEENY OWNED IT!!!!! YOU LEFT KIRBY SMART WITH LOADED TALENTED CLASSES AND HE HAS OWNED IT TOO!!!

THE 6 TRUE FRESHMAN DEFENDERS YOU MUST PLAY YOU MUST OWN THIS !!!!!

Dabo went 6-7 in his 2nd season at Clemson. Of the 7 losses, 6 of them were by 7 or less.

You can see that trend with us this year. 4-4, but 3 of the 4 losses were by 7 or less.

2018 is where we should be making a legit run at the coastal and ACCCG.

Said it before, but if we went back to that checking with the sideline crap, Kaaya wouldn't be having anywhere near the struggles he is right now. That's more of a statement on his abilities than Richt's (who by the way, I still put the lion's share of blame on).

Should've hired Dino Babers...He's doing more with South Florida afterthoughts than Richt is with South Florida 4*s...smh.

No, last years team had Scott and Waters who are major upgrades over what we currently have after S Coley though I really like Richards.. Doesn't excuse Richts terrible/predictable play calling

23 vs Cincy
24 vs FSU
0 vs Clemson
fake 21 vs NC
14 vs WazZu

WTF are you talking about

Is he, though?

I like Babers, but what has he really done so far? They're on pace to win the same number of games as last year. Maybe a 1-game improvement.

Passing game has improved significantly, but scoring output is lower.

The end of their schedule is pretty brutal. It'll be interesting to see how they fare.

Nothing wrong with the playcalling. Folks aren't executing

Exactly, please show me the proof. Halfback pass in the snow, enough said.

Here is the thing. We will never out SEC Bama. We are Miami. We did not rise to our glory being the best at what everyone else was doing. Howard revolutionize offense in college and JJ did same for defense. We did not out option OU and NE or out size B10 schools or out think psu. We ran people to death. Speed and aggression were our weapons. What RB in our history was the guy you just ran into the middle over and over again until it cracks? I can't think on one, except maybe Alonzo. Despite that we always had a decent running game so there must be another way.

If Mark has to change are offensive DNA like Golden needed to do our defensive DNA, he needs to go now, right now -- need to show up on Saturday just retire and go home.

The offense was horrible last year. The numbers are basically the same from last year to this year.

The offense was garbage last year with Brad Kaaya behind center and James Coley calling plays. I dont know what reality you all were living in but Miami was terrible on both sides during the entire Golden era... Duke Johnson was the only reason the offense wasnt as bad as the defense but that was no longer the case last season

And what you dont get is that Coach Richt isnt the same level of HC as Al Golden, who the same Richt haters defended until the Clemson game like some clowns...

Whats really delusional is how you all act like a coach has never turned around a program after struggling the 1st year (or two) trying to build and develop his team in the way that he wants???

LMFAO , our offensive DNA. Which offense are you talking about? You old heads talk about "miami speed" like its still 1985 and there aren't kids like this all over the country. Every champion the last 10 years has either won with "big boy" running the football or a dynamic DT QB.

Who are these aggressive speed demons on the roster that Richt should employ on saturday. I'll wait for your list. Don't ******* list Stacy Coley soft *** either. Never seen a player waive himself off the field that much in my entire life.
