For the fans who are dissing Richt

He got us to 10 wins, a coastal championship, and the Orange Bowl in year two with Rosier at QB and true freshmen playing key roles in 3 or 4 positions on offense. Thomas, Dallas, Donaldson, and Harley playing a lot of minutes. Not to mention the thin DB position. We will be fine fellas, relax.

I’ll facebook live cutting my **** off and slicing my groin into a ****** if Mark Richt wins a national championship, at any school, ever.

But wait..I'm confused (and drunk)...in the thread you started about richt's record...didn't you call someone a chauvinist..and refer to yourself as a chick? Have you already taken to the meat slicer .. Or did I misread, and should have another few drinks to help out my comprehensive skills?
I'm already quite annoyed that we proved we could beat these guys, but yet managed to lose to them,.. Now, you come here in one thread claiming to be chick,.. And another threatening to cut off your dingo!?!?!?!
What gives?

I am not dissing Rick but he got outcoached in this game. In Paul Chyrst’s 3rd year at Wisky fundamentally they were way ahead of us in this game. A true Fr catches 3 TDs man get that **** outta my face! 34 points on drives (except 1) where they go almost the entire length of the field. Many of the QBs this year look otherworldly against this D it is more than just a depth and talent issue.

Something is fundamentally wrong on the defensive side of the ball. Teams are dialing in on Manny’s play calling and he has no answers in return.

We should've won 10 games with that schedule and the talent. I'm not saying firecthe guy but he deserves some negativity about the offense. Diaz as well.

Serious question, take away the star rankings by ESPN / Rivals et al for a moment.

Where is all this talent that people are talking about? Don't get me wrong, we have some very good football players who will play in the NFL and some very good college players who'll stop playing football at 22.

We don't have an incredibly talented roster in my eyes.

As an example, and I don't like to single people out, but you just have to look at the left side of our Oline. McDermott and Darling were both four stars. They're not good football players.

We've done very well to win 10 games. It's going to take a few more years of elite evaluating, recruiting and coaching to get this team to the level that everyone expects Miami to be at (and we haven't been at that level for over a decade). Just enjoy the ride because it only gets better from here.

Ppl don’t want to hear that becuase it counters their confirmation bias about Richts lack of ability to win: “big games” and calling plays. Even though his teams at GA faired better when he was the play caller. I agree with you after 2 years in college you star record doesn’t mean anything any it’s about what are doing in college. Do ppl really still consider Anthony Moten and Tyree St.Louis 4 stars? Their college careers ended last night.

You’re criticism points to Manny Diaz and the D. I guess you can blame the head guy for his DC but that’s what you are doing here.

Richt def has issues in his play calling. We had some incredibly important possessions where he continued a non existent run game save DJ’s TD run. He then goes back to the wildcat in the 3rd down a poss and go nowhere.

There were way too many games where we wasted possessions bc of bland bad offense with lack of creativity/mis direction.

Richt wants to Line up and be more physical but we don’t have that team yet. We don’t even have a FB.

The reason I am more inclined on giving Rick sort of a pass on the O bc they lost 3 starters, have no depth and a terrible QB. On the defensive side I see no such excuse.

Richt also hired Willie Martinez at Georgia and that turned out be an obomination. People make mistakes including Rick..

Well get ready to cut your **** off on facebook live. And while you're at it go ahead and slice your balls too because with one you don't need the other lol.

DITTO that!

Paul Chryst got to follow in the footsteps of what BB built there at Whiskey. Lets not get it twisted and act like Whisky was in the same situation as us for the last decade. That really does matter and if you think it doesn't then i just don't know what to tell you.

We call every other fanbase delusion when they expect some over the top expectations from their program, but then we turn around and look the same way if not worse when we lose.

Dabo took over in 2008 and won his first ACC title in 2011 and then the championship was won in 2016. So it took 8 years to build Clemson into a powerhouse.... I'm trying to understand how the "experts" on this site expect us to be some juggernaut already in year 2. We don't even have a full roster of players yet and Richt had them ranked #2 in the country at one point!!

Y'all muhfukkas better wake up and realize how much this man has improved this program in such a short time. I wanted us to win just like every other fan but dam give it a rest and reflect on where we were 2 years ago and where we will probably be 2 years from now.

NOBODY here is dissing or hating the staff. It was a good year but that’s it. What people are saying is that we need improvement in the secondary, special teams, OL, and offense execution. All of those items fall directly on Richt. For some reason he has chosen to be the OC and you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to see he is over his head. Watch other offensive minded teams and they are MILES AHEAD of us in play calling. Things are not the same 20 years ago and neither are any of us. Richt is DELUSIONAL if he thinks things should remain the same for 2018. He has too many facets of the game to be concerned about. Heck, his play calling stinks, he burns TO’s like Golden, makes HORIFFIC day game decisions, and is a poor clock manager. If he gave up his OC duties then he will get better in the other departments.

Stop making excuses for a coach who had a 4 game losing streak last year and a 3 game losing streak this year. UGA saw it, recognized it and made the change it needed. He has no chance of winning a NATL title.

His best days are behind him. Guaranteed he leaves this job with no title.

If you can't see that we need a Professional OC and a Professional QB coach to compete with top 10 teams than you don't watch much CFB. Nobody else is running an offense like ours with2 sets and no motion or deception. Out executing the other team is NOT WORKING. Sorry coach you need help and fire the kid its embarrassing

The Bret Bielema who just got shown the door in Arkansas?

And his old team has improved remarkable under kirby smart bottom line richt is not a big game corch

Miami has improved remarkably and without a QB. Was Richt a big game coach when we beat ND? VT? FSU? WV? How about the big wins he had at Georgia? 2 SEC championships, 6 SEC eastern titles. Would have been in 2 CFP if it existed. He averaged 9.67 wins per year at Georgia. With south florida talent he could do better. Maybe he shouldn't be the OC, but I think he can do it.

Jimmy Johnson hadn't done **** before coming to Miami. His second year he went 10-2 and lost his bowl game. Give Richt a chance.

Obviously, he has to be granted more time and no school is beating down his door to allow "Taggerting;" he does have to recognize his shortfalls, namely his pride (play-calling) and his nepotism (John Rich is wholly unqualified and after Kaaya and Rosier's late season regressions, I fear N'kosi is next).

Just don't know if Blake (and possibly Frenk) can correct his path by TELLING him he has blindsposts. Is Rev. Franklin Graham available for some pastoral counseling on these subjects? Richt may listen to him.

Jimmy Johnson wasn't under the illusion that he could call plays.

I don't think Richt sucks, but I'm not sold on him being championship quality yet. Not only do you need elite talent but you need elite game day coaching. Vanables, Morris, Herman, Smart, Malzahn, Pruitt, Fisher, Lane Kiffin... There are elite coordinators behind the last string of championships. Does anyone feel like Richt and Diaz are at that elite level? I still need to be sold.
