FOR MIAMI TO BE ELITE AGAIN....?

Recruit, recruit, recruit. Develop a quality two deep and some areas 3-4 deep. Learn from coaching mistakes and continue to get better each game. This team right now will finish in the top 17-25 range this year. As depth progress and quality recruiting continues over the next few years 17-10 and within 2 years a top 10 ten. Right now we lack QUALITY DEPTH at positions but help is on the way in terms of the portal and current recruitment.
Manny is no dummy he sees where the team is lacking and will see to it its fixed. Rousseau and Williams are going to be stars

FSU pays recruits, last I heard the code word is pancakes (stacks). So clearly it doesn’t always work.

Sure that's the way you would draw it up in terms of the timeline but you are overlooking a few things and assuming a few others.

.First of all it's going to be very difficult to recruit the quality of player that this program is lacking if we go 7-5 or 8-4 which considering our 0-2 start is a good possibility.

Second is that you are assuming that we have a good enough staff to properly develop that talent and make the best use of it on the field.

The bottom line is that we need quality players and our share of elite players every year in order to get to the point where we can challenge the Clemsons and the Alabama's. In order to get those types of players we need to win on the field and/or show definitive proof that we are heading in that direction. Our big problem is that is order to win enough plus show that we are heading towards major success before the big time recruits come you need to have a coaching staff that is able to maximize the talent already on hand and get more out of less. Unfortunately we are nowhere close to that. With the exception of Enos, this is a Wal-Mart quality staff.

Let the team and coRches purge each other for a night and start over with whoever comes out alive

We need good talent evaluator s who can recruit then the assistants and strength 💪 and conditioning coaches to develop them.money is only part of it.need kids that'll go the extra mile(that are hungry) and are out to prove they belong with the elite.we haven't had those type of players for a long time.

Put major resources into the basketball program. Only need a handful of scholarships and stud players too. We're in the right league for that (as the ACC is really all about hoops -- minus Clemson).

I think the ship has sailed in football for small, private schools like UM (unless your name is Notre Dame). Too expensive to compete with the huge state universities' resources. Not saying we shouldn't and couldn't have a decent football program but ... think you can forget about NCs.

Georgia is the model. After letting Richt go they decided to open the checkbook for recruits and staff and they've been in the playoff picture ever since.

Actually, they were probably paying before, because Richt wasn’t landing the same kind of classes or yielding the same results here as he was there.

UCF has an AD that gets it.

Yep, between us and Florida State, he smells blood in the water and is going to occupy one of those spots, or die trying.

Also, when people talk about forward-thinking athletic directors who can spot coaching talent, he's at the top of his game. They are hiring the types of coaches we should be.
