I continue to argue the biggest complainers for the most part don't have season tickets, don't go to an occasional game, or have invested a dime in the athletic department.

Me personally I downgraded my season tickets. I almost did not renew. I fly in for games. We shall see but the roster is significantly better and so is the staff from coordinators on down.

I didn't renew my tickets for the first time in 20 years. Not solely based on the team's performance. Although I found it hilarious that they jacked up ticket prices a year after going 5-7 in a half empty stadium.

It takes time to rebuild after years of devastation. To show how some of the all time greatest coaches did in their first 2-4 years at a major school, here's some records for a few.

Bear Bryant: TA&M-1-9, 7-2-1, 9-0-1.
ALA- 5-4, 7-2-2, 8-1-2.

Joe Paterno: PSU- 5-5-0, 8-2-1, 11-0-0.

Nick Saban: ALA- 7-6, 12-2.

Bobby Bowden: FSU- 5-6, 10-2.

Woody Hayes: OSU- 4-3-2, 6-3, 6-3, 10-0.

John McKay: USC- 4-6, 4-5-1, 11-0.

Does everyone see the progression? It takes time to install the culture and roster changes. Stop griping about the last 20 years. I've suffered right along with you. It was a combination of bad hiring and bad leadership.

And don't even @ me about NIL, because the paradigm shift happened right when Mario got here. Lots of people swore that it would be the difference maker for us, before the rest of CFB caught up.

So please, stop whining and moaning and be a Canes fan and support the team without spewing your agony for others to read.

You may have to be patient and give some posters time and appreciate the culture.

Some take a slow methodical approach and going from a culture where it was encouraged by many to point out the flaws of the head coach, call him by insulting nicknames and have 10 win expectations to blind positivity may take a bit of time. The pitchforks of rooting against Manny if you root for Miami are still sharp.
 
The reason I’m so optimistic about this upcoming season is simple: This will be the best O-Line we’ve had in the last 20 years. Everyone is thinking they will be much improved, but I think they have the potential to be “Best O-Line in the nation” good. As complex as people try to make football these days at it’s core it’s still very simple; Can I get to your QB? Can I keep you from getting to mine? O-Linemen are the unsung heroes of every great team, and we went from having great lines to the past 20 years being absolutely deplorable up front. One thing nobody can deny about Mario is the upgrade he’s made to the LOS in a very short time. To me, that’s the biggest difference between him and our previously failed coaching regimes. The O-Line was almost an afterthought to them.
 
20 years of winning **** all of nothing will do that to a fan base, especially one that enjoyed the mountain top for 20 years before that.

Last season was an unmitigated disaster on the field. Mario brought in a terrific class that looks to have many contributors early. I think most of the recruits for this cycle are in wait and see mode. That's why as bad as last season was it can be put to bed early with a good season (realistically 8 or 9 wins) this year.

I still think Mario can reach new heights here but this season has to be the launch pad for that. Another middling season and it starts to get real hard to convince the true difference maker recruits you have what it takes.

He so positive about this U on Twitter-I mean X... i know he's here just ketting his hurt out to this U.... what we used to call "family".

I'm empathize with both sides. You see the work being put in and the bricks being laid @Brooklyndee and you know I dont doubt a word you say, 🐐

But @SinisterCane really loves this U, tho.
He's just hurt, dawg.
