Folks need to stand behind our coach.

Coach D is getting a bad rap - defense is awful but would be with Saban coaching the same guys. The same fans who criticize coach D now will be begging for him to stay in a couple years. Coach D is big time competitor who climbed the ladder the old fashioned way and earned everything he has accomplished. He'll get in your face over a drop of a hat and understands the X's and O's alot better than folks give him credit for here. Golden would never hang his hat on him, friend or not, if he wasn't the goods. Golden is a businessman first and foremost. Be patient with this guy - he is not the Pat Nix of DC's. He has that special fire you look for in a DC and given a litle better talent to scheme with he will make Canes fans happy.

A lot of puss*ified posts and threads the past few days. It's like people here have no heart, like they're just as soft as the Shamminized scrubs that have run through this program the past few years.

Golden's laying the foundation for a championship run. Our offense is going to turn into an Oregon Duck attack with West Coast principles. Our defense will be an NFL type 3-4 zone blitz that's gonna knock some heads off. If you cant see it, you're either a Shammin slurper or ***king blind. So shut your whining and crying and let's STAND BEHIND OUR COACHES.

I think we have a much better CEO who actually has a plan and a vision. My primary concern is one constant through the decline. Swassy. We have been getting pushed around for years now, and I do think our s&c will improve just by having a better CEO, but I wish golden would have started fresh in that regard. I'm worried these young kids won't develop like they would at a sec school for example.

Also in that regard, we have for too long been playing with frosh thru jr's instead of jr's thru 5th year sr's. Hopefully golden can change that culture of kids jumping for the $$$ at the first chance.

But to me everything is related. Bad ceo's with no vision, poor s&c, kids taking handout on campus and jumping to the nfl too early, and the boats and hoes culture. All that equals a very weak foundation. I believe golden understands that the foundation needs rebuilt from scratch.

Oregon spreads you out under a commitment to run the football. I'm not sure it's widely recognized how often they run it, always 42-49 times per game on average. This year in a short sample it's 57.5 times per game, 3rd in the nation.

Fisch doesn't commit to anything. He grabs players in frustration coming off the field but nobody in the program has the guts or sense to confront Fisch with the reality that we're not hitting anybody or challenging anybody, despite plenty of ammo. It's a confused reluctant hybrid. I thought I'd exhausted that phrase several years ago after applying it to Nix from the outset, but the more I look the more it fits.

I posted prior to the season that I was concerned Fisch wouldn't run it often enough. We are 104th in the nation at 31.5 rushes per game. A warm weather balanced offense should be in the 35-42 range, preferably smack in the middle.

not quite

I want golden to succeed but his resume here Espically on the defensive side is terrible. We've gotten our asses kicked by every team we've played with a pulse. To have an NFL defense we need NFL caliber coaches which we don't have. I'm not saying don't support your team I am saying don't be a blind follower of the system because that's how stuff like slavery happens.

Duke played in the ACC title game before we did....eternal shame.

the irony in what everyone thought then versus what they think now.

Weren't you one of the mouth breathers calling people mopes in the off-season?

I never liked the word "mope" so no to that slim shady. I will say I throughly wanted Al to succeed here because he really does seem like a decent guy; however, I've converted to the dark side.

In addition to my previous response, I forgot to mention a rather important detail. I hopped off the golden express november 9th of last year. Sitting in the pouring rain watching that joke of a performance was too much to handle

I give AG four years and that could be more due to what type of sanctions we get. Just like I gave RS and staff…but man oh man Ohnofrio is scaring me. I didnt realize he suspends people for freestyling. I guess when he told Futch stop running around the block he meant it he wants us to run into guys instead of getting the guy with the ball.

Kill myself

After taking a breather, I've accepted that year 2 is still a rebuilding year under Golden's plan.
It has to be since there is no other way of explaining the stubbornness being shown by the Staff, especially on defense.
They are going to stick with the scheme no matter what in order to drill into the players mind where eventually it will be instinctual for them.
They are also going to rotate a bunch of the younger players in order to develop long term depth for next year and beyond.
I think other coaches would not be rotating as much and switching up schemes in order to play to the teams strength and would more than likely win more games earlier on in their tenure than Golden would however suffer the consequences in years 3-4.

That being said next year we better win the MNC if we're going to suffer through 52-13 beat downs this year.
It took Golden 4 years at Temple to get to 9 wins. It should take him 3 here to get 11+. And next years team will be loaded. No excuses.

anyone know this guy?

lmao @ oregon duck offense and lmao @ golden building a championship run. has golden ever built a champion?

Rollin ain't never lied.

This staff has to improve and ill back the kids playing but until theres a change in the defense i cant stand behind dno or golden for allowing this to happen pretty much every game. Heres to hoping after the nebraska game that some stiff threats were made that will force a change in schemes and adjustments.
