Not only that, but by losing badly to UVA, helping London keep his job and keeping the UVA job from opening, he closed down any possibility of UVA offering their job to a certain tie-wearing former coach of theirs. Similarly, by helping Chryst finish 6-6, allowing Pitt to reach a bowl, instead of 5-7, he definitely made Chryst a much more appealing option for UW. Had we beaten Pitt, maybe Alvarez has a harder time hiring a 5-7 coach over a certain tie-wearing coach who had previously been offered the job and who would have finished with an 8-4 record by beating UVA and Pitt.
 
Its all in his plan. Shoot other coaches values up so they get bigger jobs while he enjoys the sunset of south beach all while counting his money
