Folden is not out of the woods yet

How many nails does it take to seal a coffin? The team checked out after collapsing in the second half against FSU, for the second straight year. Golden isn't getting this team back for the bowl game, and beyond. Doesn't matter where or who they play. As long as the opposing team has a fat kid that can run up the middle, we lose. They're ruining kid Kaaya with this ****. He looks like Wild Thing before they gave him a pair of glasses. Golden is done. He's a perpetual 7-5 guy at this level. Next year will be ugly if he stays.

He won't be gone sadly. I really don't think there is anything anyone can do other than him leaving for a new school or a scandal. As much as it makes me want to punch my computer screen and go fvkin nuts there really isnt a **** thing we can do.

Folden laughs at blowout losses. They're like fuel to him.

If 6-6 doesn't kill him, then nothing will. If UM doesn't care, then neither should the fans. Fck UM.

Clearly getting embarrassed on the football field does not faze the administration or BOT. I think point I think all we can do is continue to show our rears every chance we can and embarrass them personally. Nasty signs about Donna and BOT at televised basketball games -- and get them on camera -- is a painful way to hurt them. That is Donna's little prize. I love our Bball team and coach but is was THAT sport that had the big ncaa violations so too bad. If the football can be sacrificed for Donna's desires, then lets take basketball down too. Without them, ACC will throw us out. Then their will be no money for Donna's women's sports.(Yeah, I know all about friggin Title Nine). Show your rears boys.

Main problem is that when we get our **** pushed in in the bowl, NO-*******-BODY is going to offer Alf even a cup of coffee. He needs to go before the bowl game.

You guys are insane if you think we lose the bowl game and he comes back. The pitchforks are out NOW. One more loss and you bring him back is like throwing gasoline on a fire. There would be more people in Chernobyl than Sun Life in 2015. They'd be writing their own pink slips when the new President see's that.

Michigan fired RichRod after their 2011 bowl. Same thing with Minnesoty/Glen Mason in 2006, it's been done before.

He is staying. Let it go. The BOT likes that he is white, a nice guy, articulate, and carries around a binder that says nothing. That's what this program has become. No bowl game result is going to change that.
Sadly, I agree. If getting blown out by UVA and embarrassed by Pitt at home to finish the season 6 - 6 in year 4 with a roster of future NFL players wasn't enough to force their hand, a loss in a meaningless bowl game isn't going to make a difference. I don't think he will make it through the 2015 season but he's not getting fired this year.

If we play and lose badly to the likes of UL Monroe, Tulane or UCF, then yes he's all but fired.

If we play and get blown out by LSU, USC, Texas then there will be nothing but "Those are good programs and im proud of the guys playing so hard in a bowl game."

C'mon UL Monroe, Tulane, and UCF have scholarship players also.

Those are sound football teams that stayed ahead of the chains. We kept giving them a short field and just couldn't make a tackle to get a stop on 3d down. It starts with me. Our players didn't make any explosive plays. We kept missing our assignments on defense. We're all disappointed, but it gives us a pillar to build on for next year.

I know.

We got beat in all three phases. They made more plays than we did. No excuses. We're working our tails off to get it fixed. We need to perform better and that's my responsibility. Again, as I told the team, we can't make mistakes like that against good teams like this. Too many MEs. Errors we hadn't seen before. It's tough. Again, it starts with me. No excuses.

nothing says a guy cant coach like having 4 weeks to prepare and get beat by a low end team. Last year we werent as good as our record said and got in over our heads with that UL team but now we are better than our record so we better be the team that smashes or the heat is on.

If its a night game no. If its a day game maybe. lol

I was blown away that the basketball team didn't protest the 9:30 PM start last night. That's the type of game that will really affect the team's ability to practice over the next couple weeks.

I think you're giving them way too much credit. Golden will convince you those teams are good because they won 10 sun belt games

We're not insane. Our BOT is though. If they were going to fire him it would have happened by now. The bowl game will have zero impact aside from possibly warming up the seat a little more for 2015.

Bowl game could tell all. Left a comment on another post but i do know someone that gave me a good explanation for the reason. In short.. They are on edge currently because of a possible clause in his contract requiring a large buyout if fired before the 2015 season (ive read elsewhere it was 80% of the remaining which does match what i was told) bowl game could put them over the edge, but another disappointing season will do it as his buyout significantly drops off after next year.
