Focus on Oklahoma

There is a multi year Mega thread that knew this scenario was coming when Miami was headed to the SEC, B1G and XII and how our powerful leadership had us out of the ACC and was playing chess.

♟️

The ACC is trash and we couldn’t win it again.

Sad AF.

I have been thinking about this since last night. The best way to avoid the controversy is to just leave them both out. Vandy beat a ranked SEC team on the road by 21 yesterday. It’s the trap door these cowards need imo
That team will no longer be ranked and beat absolutely nobody all year. Vandy has 0 good wins. We beat a similarly ranked team by 31 on the road. Vandy jumping Miami would be a joke.

The announcers even said it last night in the Bama game. Exactly what you are saying basically:

The SEC it doesn’t matter by how many points you win by but what counts is that you win and survive the game.

This. There’s no “bama survives a scare” narrative.

So is not being ranked over ND, who we beat, but here we are. Our conference affiliation is like a negative half multiplier. If you think Vandy hasn’t beat anyone, the committee believes this x1.5 for us. They have made it obvious

People here are fixated on why Miami should bump ND, but nobody is paying attention to an Oklahoma team that has a far worse resume than both Miami and ND.

The national media (especially SECSPN) is trying to keep the focus on ND and Miami fighting for one spot. The truth is that the 8th and 10th seed (both SEC teams) don’t belong in the tournament.

Oklahoma has no offense to speak of and has had two ugly wins vs SEC bottom feeders.

Alabama has no defense to speak of and has been eating **** since losing to that ****** Oklahoma team a few weeks ago.
They will jump ND ahead of OU just so they can keep uf further apart.

Miami needs to win big every game, while Alabama needs to survive terrible teams and they are good to go. Same with OU. Miami has 5 30 point wins this year. The most since 2001. Crickets....

The order without a doubt should be…

OSU
Indiana
TT
UGA
Oregon
Ole Miss
A&M
Miami
ND
Oklahoma
Bama
BYU

Do what you want with 5-7 but this is what it should be on Tuesday. Anyone with a single functioning brain cell knows this is the right way to line it up going into title week.

The real problem in all this is Miami-ND is almost the distraction-both deserve to be in.

This SEC Ferris wheel routine is saturating everything. At some point a line needs to be drawn. Only two teams will play for the national title. Not 3 or 4. No coincidence that when Texas & OU join the conference is when the 12 team playoff is implemented. It’s ****** trash& and all of college football outside the SEC is sick of it.

Out of a 12 team playoff there’s no way that the 4th place team in ANY conference is a title contender. A 5th is absolutely absurd.

Great post @Ghandi. The SEC got exposed in the CFP last year and this season (especially Friday/yesterday). Georgia looked pedestrian and wasn’t able to pull away from a GT team that got smoked last weekend by Pitt. UK and SC got crushed by ACC teams. OU and Alabama looked awful against coachless, sub .500 teams. I mean, OU barely won at home against a 4-8 team with no coach and without its starting QB.

The committee needs to stop giving the SEC a special exemption from the rules it applies. ND and UM both deserve to be in.

They set the president last week. They dropped Utah with a poor win. If these teams are all truly so close, that win by Oklahoma yesterday was a poor win. I could see them dropping. If they were in the big 12 still, I would certainly see them dropping.

SEC getting 5 teams in is scandalous stuff and OU is the one I’ve been looking at the most for weeks. Mateer has 7 TD passes in conference like what are we doing here, they’ll be an easy out in the playoffs like tenn last year
Oklahoma is dog****. The SEC came out and said the win against Auburn shouldn’t have happened when they played. The refs stole it. And we saw how bad Auburn was. And LSU is one of the worst teams I’ve seen this year also and they pushed Oklahoma to the limit.

Tennessee was only ranked for the benefit of SEC teams SOS. Just like Missouri they force these bad teams in the top 25 so the better teams can prop up their resume each time they beat them. This system is more rigged than a casino
