Fly The ******* Banner

Contrary to what a lot of people on this board think the majority of players really like and want to do well for this guy. He knows what's at stake, trust me, but you can't say it to the media and have your players read it. He's just deflecting it so his players can relax and just play. You don't want the kids thinking, "**** if I don't do something special every play then coach is going to lose his job."
Exactly but you can't expect for these idiots to know that because some of them act like they never played football before..

Post of year !!!!! Some people really don't think on here.

The only thing worse than Golden & Co. in terms of moral boosting is A Serbian Film.

Yea fly the banner... It worked last year getting golden firrre......OH WAIT. but hey if THATS what you wanna spend your money on when it comes to miami football, have at it lol

We were undefeated when a banner flew last year so maybe we should fly one before every game.

What do you expect them to say, yall take his comments seriously, dudes been saying the politically correct things for 5 years

for once in his phuckin failure of a tenure here, I want him to take some sort of accountability, or put himself out there in terms of responsibility. How the ***** are players gonna be accountable, when their "leader" isnt. This is what the cultutre is here, excuses, cover your ***, no accountability, which leads to massive meltdowns on the field when the going gets tough..

PLEASE READ:....I'll just say this...I remember years ago when UF was playing ALA and UF lost a very tough/close game to Bama..And Urban Meyer (I think it was his first year as HC at UF) went to the podium and could hardly keep his composure. In fact, as we all know, he couldn't and started crying right then and there. In a game that had very little ramifications, he started crying. And we all mocked him and even his nickname was Urban Cryer for some time.

At the time, we didn't understand what Urban was trying to tell us. We just thought he was a punk. Well, years later I understand now. Urban was actually telling us by his reaction THAT HE GAVE A ****!! It meant something to him. Every game did. He coaches and still to this day coaches like his job is on the line. Nick Saban coaches like his contract is year to year. Urban too. That guys is ****ED after every loss. Like the world is coming to an end. Needless to say, nobody calls a 3-time national title coach Urban Cryer anymore. And that is why his teams play like they do. Saban as well. Losses mean something. They mean nothing to this staff. Look no further then his press conference after the NEB loss last season.."moral victories".."great effort".."hey we were in it until the very end!".."what more could you ask for?"....Smh.

See that's what makes some posters on here so ****ed about Al's approach to these questions. Where is his passion? His sense of urgency? Where is the fear? Like many have said, couldn't he have just said, "Listen, I know we have not been playing up to standards lately. So in my mind, and I will echo the sentiments of the Athletic director, we need to set our sights on a ACC coastal title at the very least this year. That is my personal goal for the team and if we do not accomplish that, I have failed."...Is that so hard? His own boss said that he wants the ACC Coastal title this year!

All this said, Al wont be able to win the battle of "coach speak" until he gets more Ws on the board. So its no use in even listening to his interviews anymore. I know I don't.

I listened to Will Muschamp tell some radio hosts that his Florida Gators should be the favorite to win the SEC East last year before the season started. He gave some stats on how well they played before injury, and that they were ready to turn the corner ... He felt really good about the team and the season.

I then listened to him say he didn't win enough to keep his job after he was fired.

When will our HC realize it's not about "outside noise"?

... It's about the REALITY of the job he has!

Wins and losses are the only things that matter ... The other stuff is just window dressing!

And the fact that this dude ALWAYS acts like he is completely oblivious to fan response or unmet expectations means he's a liar, or he's an idiot ... And neither is acceptable with the records he has given us.

****, some might even argue he is a liar AND an idiot ...

That's a lot less foolish then spending a lot of money to go to games for a 6-7 season.

"I support the players!"

They don't see any of that money.

At least the reporters are asking toughish questions. Al sounds confident and I hope he's right this time. I'm real tired of spending money to watch us lose.

Nobody is obligating you to keep spending your hard-earned money on a terrible product. I stopped donating and buying season tickets a couple years ago, and refuse to give another penny as long as our results are sub-standard and/or AG is still employed. It's one thing to have a down year or two, but it has become a trend under the current regime, so I do not feel any sort of need to support a lousy coach and situation.

You have a choice to make. No one is forcing you to spend the dough. And it doesn't make you any less of a fan, it just makes you a consumer with an expectation of return for monetary(and emotional) investment.

Completely wrong. IF they like their coach so much they should and will play for him. We hear a lot that the player like him. I can believe that, he is slick and his finest moments have been when players are hurt or in trouble. I think it would be very helpful for all those players to understand clearly that if they do not kick the crap out of everybody this year, Al is frigging gone. Then James should start each frigging week walking thought the locker room with pink slips in one hand and paychecks in the other. Then put them in separate lockers labeled "Win" "Lose".

Players play for coaches or in fear of coaches. Either one has worked, but both require respect.

I like how you speak as if you know anything for a fact. Only fact is you whine to much about anything and everything.
