Wasn't Chip Kelly fired like 2 weeks ago? Did I wake up in a parallel universe?

What time out are you honestly complaining about? Who says we were even getting to the end zone again?

We’re down half our DL depth chart, almost our entire RB room, and are playing freshmen. Yea, they’re more talented than us. They have a of upperclassmen. Our talent advantage was on the injury report.

Again, you and this board aren’t that smart so its like doing trigonometry to you.
Hey Fire Marshall Bill, whose fault is it that so many of our players on the DL and RB room are injured? This is the second year in a row that we’ve had a bunch of serious injuries to a lot of our key contributors.

The same thing happened during Mario’s last two seasons in Oregon. What a coincidence that he brought the mustache with him from Oregon and the same injury bug has hit our squad two seasons in a row. TVD also had 2 seasons of serious injuries, and played through it all.

But go ahead and defend your sacred cow. It’s obvious that the fans with the brains are not the ones still supporting this abomination of a coach.

I mentioned this a year ago. Why doesn’t the stash get any criticism for all the injuries?

He’s the head coach, so he’s over the entire operation. Is that not a fact?
He is and is ultimately accountable.

With that said, he has an OC and DC that manages the details of those sides of the ball.

Porsters want it both ways...blame Mario for every O/D play that goes wrong because he didn't call tbe right play (not his job) while Mississippi menstruating over Mario being to much of a caveman meddler in O gameplan with dumb fyzical when it should be wide open bro!

Not sure if S&C is responsible for concussion prevention and ankles/feet? Remove those:
Mesidor plays
Kelly plays
Fletcher doesn’t miss a game
Parrish doesn’t miss a game, shoulder limits him late in year(S&C)
Chaney- acl last year and concussion this year
citizen- acl last year
Ajay- hamstring (S&C)
TVD- too many to count
Emory- broken arm
Arroyo- acl, hamstring(S&C)
Zion- acl/old man knee
Kam- concussion

Not sure if I’m missing anyone. I would say our team was 10x better than other years. We also beat the **** out of most teams even if we didn’t win. NCSt was the only team that I thought handled our physicality.

Of course its not! they troll on here for the attention they do not receive in their everyday lives

It’s another pass that’s being given to Mario. I can’t remember having back-to-back years where we had so many bad injuries to so many key players.

That’s 2 years in a row that Mesidor almost doesn’t play.

Citizen has never played a snap here after the bad knee injury he suffered in spring practice last season.

Parrish, who was never injured while at Ole Miss has been injury plagued here.

TVD also was injury riddled both seasons under Mario.

Allen, Chaney, and Fletcher all missed a significant amount of time due to injury.

Deen missed a few games.

Our starting CB’s both were injured during the season.

Kam missed a few games.

Kelly was also hit by the injury bug.

Emory got murked while playing his heart out at FSU.

But hey, I guess that’s what being tuff and fizical gets you.

Thankfully our OL, LB, and WR units survived the injury bug this season, because then our record would have really been ugly.

All teams have injuries every year. Football is a physical game. Notre Dame’s AA guard broke his leg in the last game of the season. Whose fault is that? We had injuries when Feeley was here. Is the mustache good or bad? I have no idea because strength and conditioning is not my forte. But there are many on this site that think they know errthing about errthing.

I can't speak to any correlations between ACL tears and our S&C program. What I can say is we always seem to have a **** load of injuries. All the excuses and justifications in the world won't change that.

It is possible for us to have played better, been more physical than our opponents, and question our S&C.

Injuries are part of the game, but we seem to get more than we should.

I don't see the value in making excuses for professionals.

Maybe it is S&C related. Maybe it is not. It is a valid issue that deserves to be explored - nothing more or less.

Not sure why any fan would take issue with it.

Reality is a bitter pill to swalllow.

Oregon has had 2 seasons of a mostly healthy team without Mario and Feld, and that’s with a QB that runs a lot.

It’s very fair to question this pattern.

All teams do have injuries. But using one injury to try to make your point is asinine. Notre Dame didn’t have a bunch of their players hurt last season or this season.

Neither has FSU, except Travis at the very end of the season. Coleman and Wilson missed one game each as a precaution, not because of serious injuries.

The same goes for Georgia, Michigan, Baga, Taint, etc.

Mario needs to evaluate his shortcomings in, on in game strategy & clock mgmt. he has improved roster and is on track to sign another very good class. You cannot have any success in college football changing out HC's and staff every couple of years.
rinse and repeat does not lead to any type of long term success. need to ride with Mario and hope he improves
spend that 64m on upgrades and players.......DT's and a plug and play QB

What? This is legitimate ****** ****. FSUs whole offensive line has missed multiple games with injuries. They lost their starting LB in the first game. You don’t follow those programs near as close as you follow Miami so you have no idea what you’re talking about.

I used the ND OL injury as a small sample of injuries even to a senior player at a prestigious school. Could have used Travis as well. Like a I’ve said, you obviously have an extremely negative perception of all things concerning the Miami football program. Driving that negative perception/agenda/narrative without context and/or facts is disingenuous at best.

Concussions- Kam, LT, Chaney, Parrish, Fletcher, Davis
Ankle/Foot- Kelly *, Mesidor *, Porter, Fletcher
Hamstring- Ajay, Arroyo
Shoulder- Parrish
Knee - none from 2023
Broken Arm- Emory*
TVD- finger, leg, shoulder, rib...

ACL tears- we had none in 2023.

A "**** load": 9 kids with injuries (excluding concussions) and 6 played again (assuming Porter can play in Bowl). I wouldn't consider that a ****load at all. To me, that is a great year!

Excluding concussions

2 DL injuries (ankle/foot)
0 LB injuries
1 DB injury (ankle)

0 OL injuries
3 RB injuries (ankle/hamstring/shoulder)
2 QB injuries (arm, +TVD)
0 WR injuries
1 TE injury (hamstring)

No wonder why we should expect to see a different RB room. DE room will look different. QB room will look different (hopefully with 4-5 kids).

I don't mind questioning S&C but context matters. ACL injuries were all from 2022. I also wonder how many of them happened indoors on turf (more context needed).

Not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish here other than defend our S&C program. That's perfectly fine. I have no issues with that.

The reality is we have had a lot of injuries- ACLs and concussions included. It's a major problem, and arguing otherwise is foolish.

You seem to be very into the topic, so if you do not think S&C is a contributing factor, what do you attribute our injuries to?

Totally agree

Google works:
UGA just this week - https://www.si.com/college/georgia/...-injury-report-prior-to-sec-championship-game
Michigan from OSU game- https://www.freep.com/story/sports/...s-ol-carted-off-ohio-state-video/71703520007/
Michigan going into OSU- https://www.si.com/college/michigan...-roman-wilson-myles-hinton-ladarius-henderson
"The Wolverines lost some key players against Maryland last weekend -- including LT LaDarius Henderson who didn't suit up. During the game, Michigan lost No. 1 WR Roman Wilson and backup offensive lineman Myles Hinton. Starters Michael Barrett along with J.J. McCarthy had apparent injuries as well. "

I could keep going but it doesn't look pretty because it is football.

Zero ACLs this year!

Concussions- just look at other teams. It is part of the sport and every team has them. Miami had 6 that I can think of that missed games. Sucks that 3 were RBs.

I don't know what Feld runs but I can tell you that the injury numbers for 2023 are really good for Miami. It just sucks that they are concentrated at RB, QB, and DE and we came into the season with low numbers at QB and DE along with two RBs recovering from ACLs. This is were roster management is to be blamed not S&C. Why did we only have 3 QBs? Why did we only have 6 DEs (Bain, Wayne, Harvey, Mesidor, Kelly, Williams not counting 200# Moss)? The RB room was a mash unit last year and we didn't turn it over... leading to a mash unit in 2023. Bet that changes in 2024.

Now go google the top teams. OL out for the year. TE out for the year. RBs out for the year... Should we question their S&C?

Yes, I know a lot about S&C and the human body. This isn't even about S&C. It is about numbers and Miami's numbers are shockingly good for 2023.
