What a thirsty and ignorant post for you to make. You just had to mention my name, because you needed your daddy to show up to spank you.
You might be one of the dumbest posters on this board. Seriously.
First, you have ignored the MANY conversations I've had with your superior,
@RVACane , where he and I have agreed that Lagway is going to be very good.
Second, you are apparently still rectally-injured from my very accurate posts from a month ago when I pointed out that the SAMFORD game was fool's gold, and that Lagway was not yet deserving to be the full-time starter over Mertz, at least if Slingblade Billy was trying to win games and save his job.
Judging from the timestamp of your premature ejaculation post, you got your little chubby worked up in the second quarter when Lagway had a 17 yard completion and a 20 yard completion before turning the ball over on downs. Oh, how impressive. That, and the announcer telling you how "the ball just looks different" with Lagway.
Lagway is going to be great. That greatness may not happen in 2024, though. Sorry to bring reality into this.
Lagway's stat-line was 9/17 for 98 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, and a 41.6 QB Rating.
In that amazing statistical performance, nearly half of Lagway's passing yardage (45 yards) came on that meaningless second quarter drive that ended on downs.
Mertz staked Florida to its 10-0 lead, not Lagway. And here are Lagway's drives:
1. Turned over on downs (2nd quarter, while Mertz was healthy)
2. First play interception (3rd quarter, after Mertz was hurt)
3. Turned over on downs (three incompletions on first down, second down, and then fourth down)
4. Three-and-out (third down incompletion)
5. Three-and-out (third down incompletion, that is not a mistake)
6. Four-and-out (third down sack)
7. 4 play, 31 yard scoring drive after an amazing **** punt return, with a -1 yard pass and an admittedly great 27 yard TD pass
8. OT drive that netted -4 yards and resulted in Trey Smack missing a 47 yard FG
Lagway had a total of FOUR decent passes, in what was essentially a half of play.
Mertz was the QB who had Florida in the game until late in the third quarter.
It's pretty funny that you were so jacked up by two Lagway passes in the second quarter that you felt compelled to post some premature celebratory post to pat yourself on the back for predicting that a 5-star QB was talented. Bravo. You really go out on a limb, don't you?
Unfortunately, that limb cracked under your weight in the second half.
Better luck trying to dunk on me in the future, dopey.
