Nobody here had any intention to offend anyone. I’m curious... how old are you? There really is a difference generationally in what’s considered acceptable.
Growing up, we all joked about each other’s background... it’s just the way it was, and nobody thought twice about it because it was all in good fun, and everybody was proud of where they come from.
Joking like that brought different people together. There’s a certain camaraderie that’s developed when we can laugh and poke at each other. Doesn’t take too long for those racial or religious differences to mean nothing when we’re all comfortable enough with ourselves to laugh at ourselves.
There’s certain things and words that shouldn’t be said.. but I just don’t understand the sensitivity that’s so prevalent now. I’m my view, It doesn’t do anything but amplify differences when acknowledging those differences is taboo.
So I apologize for offending you. It wasn’t intended.
