EDIT:

I need to correct this thread. Florida actually led the way in players drafted this year with 32 players from the Sunshine State.

But here are the kids from the tri-county who were all drafted this year.
2018
QB: Lamar Jackson, Mike White,
RB: Sony Michel, Mark Walton,
WR: Calvin Ridley, Tre’Quan Smith, Antonio Callaway,
TE: NONE
OL: NONE
DL: Chad Thomas, RJ Mcintosh, James Looney,
LB: NONE
CB:Carlton Davis,
S: Simeon Thomas,

Coming out of HS I liked Carlton Davis (I don't remember what happened there I think we dropped him) and I thought Mike White was worthy of a late offer. Mike White may have started for Miami at QB in 2017. (If he did I believe we beat Pitt and Wisconsin.)

Congrats to these kids.

This seems to be a down year in the draft for the state of Florida as a whole. CA, TX, AL, GA, PA and VA had more kids drafted in the 2018 class than the entire state of Florida did. I expect that to change next year as there's a lot of talent in CFB and I expect FL to lead the way like usually.

But here are the kids from the tri-county who were all drafted this year.
2018
QB: Lamar Jackson, Mike White,
RB: Sony Michel, Mark Walton,
WR: Calvin Ridley, Tre’Quan Smith, Antonio Callaway,
TE: NONE
OL: NONE
DL: Chad Thomas, RJ Mcintosh, James Looney,
LB: NONE
CB:Carlton Davis,
S: Simeon Thomas,

Coming out of HS I liked Carlton Davis (I don't remember what happened there I think we dropped him) and I thought Mike White was worthy of a late offer. Mike White may have started for Miami at QB in 2017. (If he did I believe we beat Pitt and Wisconsin.)

Who on this board new about Simeon Thomas, James Looney or Tre'Quan White though?

Carlton came out of Norland and picked OSU over us initially, then ended up flipping to Auburn anyways. He was never committed to us.

I read an article that said FL had 35 players drafted which is really good and not a down year. After a few years of not being #1 they were this year. GA actually had a down year with only 12 players selected, where they are averaging 19 this decade and had 29 last year.

Nobody cares about georgia.

The post stated that GA had more than Florida, which is incorrect and on topic. If you keep getting off topic I am going to ban you.

How am I “off topic?”

This topic is about Florida players in the draft. Nobody cares how many draft picks GA averaged over the past 10 years. Stay on topic.

I stand corrected. Florida led the nation with draft picks this year.
