Randy had the luxury of coaching the greatest collection of defensive athletes ever assembled and has been marginal at best without that type talent.In his scheme they still have never covered a TE..

Shannon is one of the laziest recruiters out there and he’s admitted that he hates it.He couldn’t recruit kids in an area where he grew up played HS and CFB and coached......how the **** can you type he’s a great recruiter...WOW!!!

I think Chip Kelly goes to UCLA and think Scott Frost stays out one more year at UCF. I think Florida pays a pretty penny for Dan Mullen although I believe he is a good coach what he is doing at Mississippi State will not be good enough for fans in Gainesville.

Me too. If I was a Gator fan, and didn’t kill myself for being a Gator fan,
I’d be pretty upset UF didn’t go straight for Mullen to begin with.
There’s a good chance they look like fools again on this one.

Many reasons. First, you're dead wrong. Shannon is at best a mediocre DC and is an incredibly lazy recruiter. Second, any coaching candidate worth a **** is going to insist on picking his own assistants. He's certainly not going to agree to let the school impose a DC/defensive staff on him from the getgo. Any candidate who would, you wouldn't want.

You are mistaken. Randy Shannon is a great defensive coordinator. Get out of your Sensitive feelings and don't let your hate for the man deny the truth.

No decent head coach would ever agree to a job where his hands are tied and he has to live with an existing DC. That's just a non-starter. If that's the Turds' condition, they're gonna wind up with the Goldens of the world. Sure hope this is true!
