He was trying to draw a flag. When the D jumps off sides and is unabated to the QB, but they don't blow the whistle a lot of OL coaches tell the players to freeze so the refs throw the flag.

LOL the coach usually says to stay frozen until the play is whistled dead so it doesn't look like you screwed up. It works a lot better when the entire line freezes though lol.
