Florida’s second scrimmage notes

Here's the thing we dont know about these scrimmages.

Was 1st team going against 1st team or 2nd team Defense and vise versa

Also if the Defense was really playing. Was it spring games maybe or fall camp last year where scrimmage "highlights" were coming out and it legit looked like the Defense was told to go half speed. Not even trying to make a dig but no way that was 100%

To the mods who deleted my porst............

Sarcasm is "a sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter gibe or taunt". Sarcasm may employ ambivalence, although sarcasm is not necessarily ironic.

Just got a little tonight, I didn't think I was going to get anything from my main source on this but he hit me up.
Heard that Feleipe looked very sharp minus one pick to Trey Dean.
Heard the offense was the better unit tonight.
Swain caught a TD on the first drive.
Dean pick on second drive.
Cleveland with a TD catch on the third drive.
Cleveland with a TD again on the fourth drive.
He thinks he remembers Hammond with a TD on the fifth drive.
It sounds again like the young guys got a lot of work about half way through the scrimmage.
This is what was said on their 24/7 VIP forum
If Frankfurter is throwing picks I smell blood.....LETS GO CANES :stormwarningflag-sm:

How can I be a troll when I’m posting something I found on twitter?

It seems most likely that the used to scrimmage to give the horrible depth behind all their first string D some much need reps, which would explain the hire scoring.

Then you have these phucking moron fans thinking their O must be world star since it's playing the "best D they will see all season" LOL.

I cannot wait for the tears when the Heisman contender Felipe gets a violent reality check.

my 2nd point in posting that ridiculous nonsense earlier, aside from the hilarity of franks as a heisman candidate, was that they didn't even mention our defense as being a good one franks will face. THAT, my friends, is what these people think of us. we are an afterthought, and will not even be a challenge. i just couldn't love the potential of this situation any more.
Denial is the way their fan base and program copes with fear. They’re hoping what they believe is the case and then moving on because it’s not comfortable to contemplate that the Canes are about to whoop that **** period.

Our fan base is way more comfortable dealing/cope with reality and hearing the truth. They have an aversion to it.

Believe me, we are running wild in their subconscious.

i hear you. the furthest thing from their collective peabrains is going 0-1 to a team that looked like dog**** in our bowl game. there is NO WAY that even possibly happen in their minds

Peabrain here: I will admit, it is inconceivable that we lose to you guys. That being said, I do think it will be a closer game then our fans suggest, for three quarters...we will win by 13 ish + though.
I’m not sold on Franks. He has elite arm talent and size, but tends to throw to first choice only and let’s emotion get the best of him. That hurt us in the middle of last year, but when he harnessed it properly, he became very difficult for defenses to handle. Our Oline is talented but limited in experience, so your front 7 may wreak havoc and cause Franks to make a few mistakes early. Good news for us: between RB, TE, and WR we have at least 6 guys that will play in the NFL one day.
I saw a few people commenting on Pierce a few pages back. He’s our 3rd string RB right now and will be a 3rd down back in the NFL one day. Perine will rush for 80 + and we will rotate at least 3 backs that will all average 5+ yards a carry. They are good enough to take heat off Franks for a few drives until he’s comfortable.
Our wide receiving core is well above average and possibly one of deepest in the country. That being said, they are only going to be as good as the guy throwing to them. I anticipate a few silly quick screens and slants to negate your speed rush advantage. Then throw a few 65+ yard passes deep that never get caught.
Defense is an interesting one. Your front 7 on paper is one of the best around. We have a lot of talent and some very good players, but it’s still up in the air if they are elite. Your front 7 is better than ours, but I believe we hold the advantage in the trenches. (Your dline vs our oline < our online vs your dline).
Our two starting CB’s are first round talent. Henderson is a sure fire first rounder given health, and Marco is possibly even better. Blowing his knee out in game two last year certainly knocked his “stock” down, but apparently he’s healthy now. Our safety play will be suspect at best. If your qb has enough time or focuses primarily on receiver # 3, you guys will do damage in the passing game. If he tests our CB 1 on 1s, he will throw a pick or two.
I hate UM passionately. I do think you guys made a great coaching hire, and still have a little way to go before you become elite. We are heading that way, but still need a few more years and the proper people pieced into key positions. Good luck. Flame away. Final score 27-13 ish
