2026 Flip Watch 3.0 No Class is Safe from Mario (2026 Version)

VODNEY CLEVELAND, TOP247 DL (TEXAS COMMIT)

Birmingham (Ala.) Parker four-star defensive lineman Vodney Cleveland has been committed to Texas since June 21, but we're told that he is still communicating with Miami, Florida and North Carolina. It's going to take a lot to flip him from the Longhorns.

KAYDEN DIXON-WYATT, TOP247 WR (OHIO STATE COMMIT)

Like Henry, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star wide receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt has been committed to Ohio State for quite some time. Two programs that haven't given up, though, are Miami and Oregon. The Ducks are pushing hard to get him on campus for a game day visit.

DANNY ODEM, TOP247 CB (NEBRASKA COMMIT)

Orlando (Fla.) First Academy four-star cornerback Danny Odem committed to Nebraska June 23 . However, schools aren't giving up easily. Miami, Florida, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson and Auburn are still reaching out and pushing to get Odem on campus this fall.

JUSTICE FITZPATRICK, TOP247 CB (GEORGIA COMMIT)

Georgia landed Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star cornerback Justice Fitzpatrick's commitment June 3. Since that point, his other finalists such as Ohio State, Florida, Miami and Texas have never stopped recruiting him.

JAMES JOHNSON, TOP247 DL (TEXAS COMMIT)

Texas landed a commitment from Miami Northwestern four-star defensive lineman James Johnson July 15, but Miami and Florida remain firmly in play for the Sunshine State native. We're told that South Florida reached out after this past Saturday's 18-16 win at Florida. For what it's worth, the Longhorns fully expect him to remain committed to them throughout the process.

JJ DUNNIGAN, TOP247 CB (KANSAS COMMIT)

If Kansas can keep Manhattan (Kan.) High four-star cornerback JJ Dunnigan — one of the top in-state player this cycle — committed, it'll be a huge win for the Jayhawks. The top contenders right now are Miami and Michigan. Kansas making it difficult for anyone to flip him, though.

AYDEN POUNCEY, TOP247 SAFETY (NOTRE DAME COMMIT)

Winter Park (Fla.) High four-star defensive back Ayden Pouncey remains locked in with Notre Dame, but Miami and Michigan are still trying to make a run at him.

MILAN PARRIS, TOP247 WR (IOWA STATE COMMIT)

Stow (Ohio) Jesuit four-star wide receiver Milan Parris has been committed to Iowa State since Jan. 26, but there are some major programs making a run at him, including Illinois, Kansas State, Miami and Cincinnati.

JORDAN CAMPBELL, TOP247 LB (MIAMI COMMIT)

Miami is going to be tough to beat for Miami Northwestern four-star linebacker Jordan Campbell, but Texas, Florida State and Nebraska are doing what they can to stay in the hunt.

JAE LAMAR, TOP247 RB COMMIT (GEORGIA COMMIT)

Despite being committed to Georgia since June 25, we're told that Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County four-star running back Jae Lamar is still talking to a few schools. Auburn, Colorado, Clemson, Florida State and Miami are still heavily involved.

JAYDEN PETIT, TOP247 WR (WISCONSIN COMMIT)

Naples (Fla.) St. John Neumann four-star wide receiver Jayden Petit has been committed to Wisconsin since June 26, but there is a long list of suitors looking to make a move before pen hits paper. Oklahoma, Miami, Missouri, Purdue and South Florida continue to reach out to Petit and urge him to reconsider his initial decision.

ALISTER VALLEJO, TOP247 DL (MICHIGAN COMMIT)

Liberty Hill (Texas) High four-star defensive lineman Alister Vallejo has been committed to Michigan since June 10, and the Wolverines are going to be tough to beat. But Alabama, Miami and especially Colorado are working hard to get him on board.

JAELEN WATERS, TOP247 CB (MIAMI COMMIT)

Miami has Seffner (Fla.) Armwood four-star cornerback Jaelen Waters firmly committed, but Texas remains a real threat for the Hurricanes. Don't be surprised if he makes his way to Austin to check out the Longhorns this fall.

Most of players listed have been discussed on here ad nauseam

RB Derrick Cooper
DB Justice Fitzpatrick
DT James Johnson
WR Jasen Lopez
DB Devin Jackson
ATH Lekhy Thompkins

TE Haze Kent
S Jett Washington

3 newish names that haven’t been discussed if at all.

LB Kymani Morales (Georgia Tech): Perhaps a surprise to some, Morales and Miami have picked up communication and a scholarship offer extended the American Heritage prospect’s way could be next. Morales is saying the right things about his pledge to Georgia Tech, even about a shut-down decision over the weekend, but that is as things currently sit. A local, Power Four tender from the Hurricanes could flip this recruitment on its head in the coming weeks.

LB Jacob Curry (Northwestern): A breakout prospect last fall in the St. Augustine area, Curry followed it up with great performances this offseason in leading to a more national offer list. Miami has upped the contact here and Curry has confirmed his attendance for the season opener with Notre Dame in town, so the in-state scholarship offer would weigh heavy here. Curry is being courted by others beyond his Wildcat commitment, with Oklahoma currently sitting as the most likely option should he have a change of heart.

DL Logan Nagle (Pitt): In a cycle not yet known for great interior defensive line depth, the recruiting board is likely to expand for plenty of programs. Nagle is a big prospect who had a big 2024, surging up recruiting boards this offseason. Miami has kept tabs on the New Jersey native despite his pledge elsewhere in the ACC, and Rivals sources are told a scholarship offer could come down here. Nagle took a slew of visits in June, but none were to Coral Gables. Will the Hurricanes swing be too late here? If the offer comes in we should soon find out

LB Jacob Curry (Northwestern):

Paris is from my neck o’ the woods. He plays for one of the better privates in the area. They play against Archbishop Hoban, the best program in Akron and one of the elites in Ohio on the 26th, a game that I plan on checking out. Hoban has 3 D1 kids in their secondary, including a top 5 corner that’s committed to Southern Cal. Josh Cribbs’ son is the backup QB at Hoban, he’s only a sophomore, but they say he’s electric. I’ll report back here with my review on Paris. I was really surprised when I heard that we were looking at him. Very rarely does NE Ohio have players that I feel are UM caliber, but this kid has shot up thr carts like a rocket over the last few months. Everything that I’ve heard recently says that this kid can ball, but I’ll believe it when I sees it.

Mario not mucking around - we are mentioned as contending for the flip on every single player mentioned there...

Looking at CBs still. Wonder if they feel some of guys committed might not make it or looking to recruit CBs as Safeties.

You know it. I’ll probably rock my new good luck bucket hat that my friend (a **** OSU grad) picked up for me in Mexico. We’re 2-0 when I wear it. She got me some customized green and orange suede Adidas too. I’m gon’ rep.

Need a list of quarterbacks who could declare for the NFL draft, but be convinced to come to Miami for one season to boost their stock.

Let me know when you're going. I have some friends on the staff at Hoban.

I’m going next week. My parents are flying up from Alabama (where they retired to) to see my nephew play against Mentor. I’m going to the game versus Walsh, though. My nephew was all set to go to Hoban a couple of years ago, but he played for Ginn Elite in junior high, so he ended up playing for Glenville his first 2 years. He’s at Cleveland Hts now.

Good stuff. I went to school with Coach Hicks at Cleveland Hts. Not sure if he's still there though
