2026 Flip Watch 3.0 No Class is Safe from Mario (2026 Version)

I don’t disagree with any of that. My entire point in this thread was recruiting in Y1 of a regime vs recruiting in Y4 of a regime. It’s vastly different and much easier in Y1 vs Y4, that’s all.

Oh for sure. Teams negatively recruit against Mario very effectively and they have yet another year of onfield performance to prove it. Y1 and y2 gave him that new hire boost where it was a sales job and he convinced kids that he needs the talent to build something special. That messaging lacks the luster in y4.

My understanding tho is we were ahead of the game in resources in his first years. Some coaches were uninterested in embracing NIL. Some programs had NIL contracts and situations that were a mess such as Florida and USC. We benefitted a lot of that in recruiting. My understanding we were probably top 3 but now still competitive but other schools do have more resources. But in the top 10 they’re all pretty competitive and there’s not a huge gap. We close strong and we can be in that mix

Although early playing time is something Mario likely counters with.

Historically he has been able to point to year over year progress in terms of the number of wins. This year not looking like he will be able to sell that

Mario can flat out recruit. But he’s got to win. I think we’ll all agree we’ll have better chances closing a top 5-10 class with a 10-2 record than a 7-5 record. So let’s go 3-0 and enjoy the finish for once.
If we can only have a good offense and defense in the same year, lol. Last year offense was elite. defense was miserable. This year, defense is light years better but the offense struggles. I don't think coaches put players in position to succeed this year on offense. Play calling has been dissapointing this year. I hope we see the playbook continue to open up the rest of the season and we can finish with momentum on the field.

At this point, its safe to say that there's no school more reliant on flipping recruits than Miami. And I distinctly remember several people saying that due to the NIL changes, the flips this season would be minimal.

Would love for us to finish with another 1 or 2 Top 247 guys. Who’s the best shot?
