My Canes Flag had 15 years of dust on it. It was stored away in the garage, buried deep behind other whatnots. Last Sunday morning I carefully brushed the dust away. I placed it precisely on the window sill of my Tacoma, and rode down the main thoroughfare. The weather had a slight breeze, the Ibis on the flag stood strong and proud. The smile on my face has not left since.

It took a 9-0 record before you broke out the flag? No wonder we are constantly taunted for having bandwagon fans. It is awesome you have it up, but keep flying it proudly no matter what!

These fly all season, and have for years regardless of our record. The looks on people’s faces here in Birmingham is priceless.

Wow, how do you come up with "bandwagon". I have followed the Canes since the days of Chuck Foreman and Burgess Owens. Perhaps you are not aware, during those days we were not the U. As a kid I sold newspapers outside the Orange Bowl during the first half of games, afterwards my buddies and I got in free.

Anyone with any history of Miami, knows that we have been in the wilderness for the past 15 years. Please adjust your focus and reasoning.

We are 9-0 and you haven’t used it yet? Put that **** back away. Leave it there collecting dust. When season is over then dust it off and hang it for next year.

This, I have 3 on my car and 1 on the flag pole in the yard every week

I fly mines loud and proud every game day since last year not to mention my canes tag..Now all of a sudden, I get a lot of honks and U hand signals thrown at me. I just laugh because last year ppl were probably laughing at my flag...

I think he meant "fairweather."

This! I started talking to this very mediocre female 1 day before the season started. I've been wanting to end it for the last 2 weeks but I don't want to mess up any of our mojo. I'm not breaking up with her until we lose. At this point, I'm willing to sacrifice my love life if it means we never lose again.

Backfire threads are the best.

I wouldn't make a habit of telling people that you hid your Hurricane flag while we weren't winning and pulled it out when we got to 9-0 and #2 .

It's clear you've always been a fan. But just because we've been down for 14 years doesn't mean you should put away all of your canes gear.

In other words for 15 bad years of Cane football you were not proud to be a Cane fan. You put your flag with junk in garage. Now that we are a great team again you have exhibited our flag. Sir, you are an example of the quintessential bandwagon fan. Shame on you. Win or lose, be a proud Cane and don't hide your allegiance.

I saw this post this morning and started typing up my post and man I was ****ed. I'm glad I deleted it I'm better person than this but this dude gets my blood boiling go ahead and put up your Gator flag we don't need you and we don't want you. That was the cleaner version. For over 25 years ever since I got my jeeps U license plate on the front tire cover in the back with Sebastian. That's how I roll

Coach put me in I'm ready to run kickoff now

That's one nice looking C-130J!

It was. We were BRAC'd in 2011 and they were sent to LRAFB where they're now abused by student pilots. Ours were stubby's and the standard is now the stretch, so it only made sense. Rumor has it the unit is getting reactivated with 8 new J-models in a few years. Anyway, I'm a computer nerd now, but I do miss those days.
