FIU since Butch arrived

Its amazing the stuff one finds out when coming on to this board. I dont even know who Kiffin is, let alone his apparent major accomplishments as a college coach, as you point out. Maybe he should ring up Blake James to get on his short list, not that Blake has the time to interview. He’s a busy man.

Here’s a thought how about stop this ****** **** and hire a real up and comer like Norvell, Campbell, or a hardened guy like Clawson? That sounds great don’t ya think?

**** Yes!! I wish we would do something like that!

Did you really just say you don't know who Lane Kiffin is?

Yeah, I mean, I know he is a football coach, but I’m not all that familiar with his resume. Has he won anything? And wasnt he caught baying at the moon or something? Not that that matters. I mean, “character” in a football coach is a relative thing, right?

See Saban. That's all you need to know

Why would we hire Kiffin again? I don't know why we would jump on that train as we fill the site up with thread after thread of griping about horrible past/current coach hiree? So we can blame James again for a crappy hire? Let's not forget that dude got fired on a tarmac. He's failed at every spot (except for 1 yr at USC I think) but he's doing alright at FAU in CUSA - That's who we want at Miami??

People acting like Kiffin is a promising up and comer, showing out at FAU to get a shot at the big-time. But it's just the opposite. He had his shot at the big-time and is now at FAU because he couldn't handle it.

Butch, on the other hand, is only at FIU because a bunch of soft-shouldered cork-sniffers are afraid of their own shadows and content with being mediocre.

How could he have time when he’s running international searches for coaches of a 7 mile radius?

How is Butch the opposite? He's moved further down the ladder with each career move. Lane is 44 years old while Butch is 70. Meanwhile, Butch inherited a slightly better FIU and is about to watch Lane win the conference for the 2nd time in 3 years. Don't act like Butch deserves to be at a main program with his one good season in 20 years as a coach.
