FIU dismantling UMass

FIUs offense is okay. But 400+ yards to UMass is awful.

Well, if Rosier doesn't have a good game, there will be plenty of Armageddon like talk around here. Although since its Butch's defense we'll be going against, this time they might actually think he did an amazing job against their God.

Miami is going to throttle FIU next week.

I like and respect Butch as much as the next guy...but he is getting the boots put to him next week.

FIU looked good, so i looked up UMASS and saw that their best year since joining FBS was 4-8. They did put up a decent fight against the gaytors in 2016, though.

Good point. Should have said college football.

The funny thing is that if you look at the Pats' roster, the only player from a New England college is James Develin (Brown). There's not one kid from BC, let alone UMass. New England Patriots. ... New England programs are just not good enough to put out NFL players. BC has 11 in the NFL, UConn 8, Umass 3 ... Harvard had 9, more than UConn, lol. By contrast, Miami has 39.
Eh, wait till the Brady/Belicheck era is over. The Pats will go back to being the #4 option behind the Sox, Celts, and Bruins. Okay, they may stay ahead of the Bruins.

It'll be the opposite: Rosier will have a slightly above average game but secure the victory against the almighty, all-powerful Florida International University... he will then be heralded as a dark horse candidate for the Heisman and the second coming of Ken Dorsey. The players will start getting their fingers measured for ring #6. The kool aid will be flowing by the barrel! All will be right with the world!!! Until we play a comparable team.

+1, man I love watching Gary Patterson coach, dude is into it and it shows, he is totally beat down at his post game pressers. Dude would be a monster here, pulled hard for him when we hired fat Al
JJ told Shalala to hire him.....Troll turns around and hires Onion Head..

Saben may be the only active college coach superior to Butch.

If Butch hadn’t left people would be saying Nick who? Some people on here love to point out Butch never won a NC. He was robbed of one in 2000. Would have won another in ‘01 and ‘02 and the man hadn’t even put his best recruiting classes together yet with the highest caliber kids standing in line just waiting to commit. Butch built a football machine that was only gaining steam until Clappy ran it all into the ground. I can’t think of another coach that destroyed their legacy more than Butch did by leaving and he knows that. That’s why I wanted him back because unlike Richt, he had that fire burning and desire to prove he could do it again and I have zero doubt that he would have if given the opportunity. He will obviously be undermanned Saturday and if we hang 50 on him that will just make him more determined. I know he won’t go down without a fight and who the **** knows with Rosey under center and MR calling plays. I don’t know about the rest of you but for me it really sucks going against one of my favorite coaches of all time and one of my favorite QBs.

Butch wasn't robbed in 2000.

Miami beats Washington and the undefeated Canes would have played undefeated Oklahoma. His next problem was a 42-31 home won over unranked Louisiana Tech. The computer polls looked at margin of victory and strength of schedule.

Two gameday corching jobs cost Butch an opportunity at the 2000 NC.
