You are correct. Look, I’m critical of coaches and understand we all have high standards but this has been the best two year run in 23 years.

So what play calls did you not like? Or did the ****** snap and holding affect those drives? Was that scheme or two players ******** up?
 
Say we were to fire Mario at the end of this season because he hasn’t “met expectations” like you guys say..what names do you guys feel like we can REALISTICALLY hire that would be a CLEAR upgrade? Honest question..

Don’t think I’ve read one fire Mario post today, myself included as heated as I was. He’s not going anywhere anytime soon. It just gets tiresome as get out waiting for the talent he acquires to overcome him ala Butch.

Please show the examples of how Mario threw the 4 interceptions against Louisville? THAT’S NOT COACHING

To all who can’t grasp this concept. In today’s college game all teams will lose a game or two in the regular season. There will be outliers, but the rule is teams will lose, and common sense says, if you are a top 10 team (which I believe this team is) you will always lose a game to an inferior team, and it’s usually because of games that Beck had against Louisville, or just “off games” on the road against SMU.

We are talking about college kids not pros, heck pros have “off games” and you expect college kids not to have them???

I am not advocating that Mario is some coaching guru. But the fact remains we are one win away from 10-2 our record and overall performance merits the playoffs regardless. This is back to back years of that and that is all under this staff

So what you’re saying is Mario is a good HC? An acceptable one? Am accomplished one? Which is he?

I’ve seen multiple, even saw a post during the game that said we should back channel Lane Kiffin 200 million ..I just want to know if the ppl with that sentiment have a potential pivot from Mario that would clearly take us to National Championship level which is the standard for Miami here.

According to those in the know,Our big money donors are only willing to spend it on their close friend Mario and if he's fired they close their wallets,so we're ****ed and stuck with him.

He was the 17th highest paid coach in college football at the beginning of the year. I’m not sure where he stands at this very moment because a few guys ahead of him got fired and a few guys below him got raises.

We’re essentially getting what we pay for.

I’m happy to be competitive again and not a joke. I’m not taking away from higher goals just recognizing what you’re saying like you are. The UM head coaching job is more desirable today than it was before Mario took over. Floor raised.

Where was he ranked when we hired him in terms of salary?
 
Mario, as flawed as he is in some ways, is the best thing that happened to UM in 20+ years.

The big difference between him and all the rest of them, when there is a problem, he does address it instead of making excuses and keeping his friends in spite of performance. He will cut a coordinator and find a replacement. That in itself is better than the main in the past.

He is improving in every metric that can be used over his previous performances.
