Saban at Michigan State
1995: 6-5-1
1996: 6-6
1997: 7-6

Swinney at Clemson:
2009 (first full year): 9–5
2010: 6–6
2011: 10–3

Diaz at Miami:

This is a tired thread. Recruiting has really been better and with the new staff it appears that it should stay that way (at least on D). You buy yourself more time by stacking talent even when the results aren’t totally there yet.

Not a huge manny guy but I’d like to see what he’s got now that we cut some dead weight at assistant coach
 
Saban was technically the head coach at Toledo for one season. He went 9-2 in 1990 and told Urban Meyer to kick rocks when he applied for a job on his staff.

Do the geniuses that make this comparison ever stop and think why there aren’t more Sabans and swinneys out there coaching if all you have to do is go 6-6 in year two? A majority of coaches go .500 or better in year 2. Doesn’t make them future hall of famers

I agree with your sentiment but, can we stop banning people.
