Paging all the guys I argued with for a week about this back in October. :)

I said he'd be mentioned in the Heisman conversation plenty in 2022. I was technically wrong because it's 2021 still and it's already started! There is a reason Mario said we have the best QB in the country with a straight face.

I hope this fanbase is starting to understand what we have in TVD. Potentially the best QB we've had here, maybe ever. And yes, that's a bold statement, but he will be in the conversation with the 1980's guys when it's all said and done. Especially if he plays two more years.

Depends who we hire as OC. Get someone like Briles, he's going to be well in the conversation. Get someone more in the Moorhead mold, forget about it.

But we should be a good team, and he's a fantastic player with skill players everywhere around him. Should be in the mix.

Depending on the DC then the D might be a decent unit because of how deep we are in the back end. We might be looking at the best UM season in a long time next year.
personally I do not think we are deep in the backend. We have three sophomore safety’s who are the goods. But who’s behind them? And at corner we have Stevenson who might leave still and Clarke who I think can make a jump. And then true freshman and possible portal additions. So at the moment we aren’t deep. Just my opinion

Regardless of what you think of the Heisman Trophy, having a Heisman winner helps with every aspect of the program including recruiting. TVD over the last 5-6 weeks of the season was the best QB I saw play. He should be in the running this season.
True. Dude straight up beat Kenny Pickett head to head. We’re talking about THE Kenny Pickett.

We're gonna find out what kind of mentality TvD has. He's gonna get gassed up big as next season approaches. Not every player deals well with that.

That was the best combo QBing in a game I may have ever seen. dime after dime from both. Pathetic Pitt fans did not even show a week after beating Clemson... SMH.

I mentioned TVD as a potential Heisman candidate to some guy wearing a Canes shirt in Publix the other day.

So,I would say there are now TWO mentions of him as a Heisman candidate. ;)

As someone who watched prime Vinny and Gino, that's saying far more than should be said at this point. Nothing is impossible, but ****.

TVD clearly has the physical goods. If he could grow into some Dorsey smarts, the sky's the limit. Although I'm not sure how I'd feel about Dorsey as OC, I KNOW he'd make TVD an absolute animal beyond what he's already shown - and potentially get Garcia ready to go as well.

rattler lol?!?

did he even look better than TVD even when he was good?

Actually had pretty good numbers and of course he's a household name. Doesn't mean he's better or will have a better year but he's a former 5-star kid who is, I believe, 14-2 as a starter.

Yeah, but Rattler just transferred to a QB graveyard school.
