They got open bc we gave the 10 yard cushions and were missing 2 DB’s. That disappeared when Lucas came back.Like a python.

I'm not a football analyst like so many here are - and I admire that. I hear terms I don't even know WTH they mean.
I probably have this all wrong, but I saw an IU team that didn't have a lot of plays - but the ones they called - they were so practiced, and so smooth, and so well timed - they worked when they really needed them to.
Our team was more talented, and gave them some fits - but smooth execution gave them a bit more to rely on.
Their receivers seemed to get open more and made more out of the passing plays - and our guys ran the basic pattern - and very little scrambling once the route was so well covered.
What's the sweet spot for us?
Sure the yardage was 110ish to 70ish per half, so it doesn’t seem like a UF difference but they only completed 4 or 5 passes all 2nd half. 2 to Becker, one short one that Cooper broke for close to 20. That’s really it.
