First of all we have a massive endowment and tons of money coming in that if we wanted to we could spend on football. Any coach that is not straight garbage like Golden could win the coastal at the U.

I get some of the criticism, and that this response is mostly an emotional response to antagonism earlier in the thread, but the "cheap" comment is just off base. Richt was more expensive than a lot of the options out there (the "bargain bin" coach would have been Davis), and is reportedly the highest paid head coach UM has ever had.

And as far as Davis/FIU pulling an upset, the chances of that are dropping like a RB shot in the face in Opa-Locka.

Nope. Richt could lose to Ray Charles and Flake and Frenk would not fire him. The man just gave 1M to the IPF. He’s untouchable.

This was a master chess move by Richt. Out flanking Blake and the BOT to not even try entertaining him being terminated if things start to suck. He would look like the good guy.

I understand that, but we are still paying a lot less the other elite teams. I also meant the entire staff Richt brought with him. I know it won't happen, but with a corch like Richt you never know.
