Sorry for your loss my friend. Agree with everything you said about Mario and team. We did it the right way today gents, just fell a tad bit short of accomplishing our final goal.

Here’s to Mensah and the 2027 team finishing the job for their 2026 brothers

Sucks to lose in the Natty. Sucks way more to not get there. Norvell or who ever the Crocs have? Utter ****! We have Mario he will work harder than anyone else to make this team a National Champion. Let him work. Shoulder massager FFS just imagine the suck

No, thank you, Mario… and thank you to this entire team.

The last few months have been really dark in my household. My father-in-law passed away from stage 4 cancer just two days before Christmas. But this team and this playoff run have brought some much-needed light and happiness.

I thought last year with Ward brought so much joy, even with the disappointing ending. But this season, especially the last month or two, has truly given me the most happiness I’ve felt as a fan in 25 years.

I’m so ******* proud of these boys. They literally pulled off the toughest and best playoff run in CFP history.

I love this team, and will forever be grateful for this season.

Now let’s go get it next year, boys.
My condolonces, brother

Mario can be frustrating with double digit dog teams

But for big games he can get his team up.. after that SMU loss I fully expected the team to go into the tank and back to back seasons wasted with elite talent on both sides wasted

Cam and a historic offense with X

The defend the next with Bain and Messidor

Credit to him and his staff the kids love to play for him… that look at the end of the game tells me he’s gonna find another gear to push too. He loves this school more than any of us on this **** board

So sorry for your loss, brother. I lost my dad 9 days ago. That is far more important than any game could ever be.

I’m proud of our Canes. Nothing to be ashamed of.
Sorry for your loss brother. My sincerest condolences to you and your family.

I didn't like the way the school fired Manny, and I thought the talent level should have produced more wins in Mario's first few seasons (the GT kneel game was so bad). But everyone has to admit, acknowledge and agree that Mario can take a punch and keep moving forward and he can accumulate talent like no other. His teams do not quit and play their best under the brightest lights. He is a tough, resilient SOB.

Make no mistake, last night was a tough loss. I am not over it. But the team showed the nation that they belonged and they are not going anywhere. So proud of the effort.

Love Mario. Keep him happy.

I lost my father several years ago. He suffered at the end but not for long. I hope when my time comes I can handle it half as well. Hope to see the canes win a few more championships first.
I’m so sorry, brother. Losing a parent sucks. I can only hope that I can be half the man that he was. My deepest condolences to you.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Hope you and your family are starting to do better. 🙏

And agree 100%. This is just the beginning. 🙌🏻

I didn't want to start a new thread but figured this thread would be the attention grabber.

Cristobal has done a fantastic job fixing the roster and deserves a massive new contract.

------

But I have one question that I hope the football experts can answer:

Why are Cristobal teams consistently among the most penalized in cfb? Is style of play responsible? Is it the type of player he recruits? (e.g. players with chips on their shoulders, players who are insanely aggressive, etc) I might be able to believe it is ref bias against Miami but his FIU teams and most of his Oregon teams were just as heavily penalized.

what do you think is the reason?

Won’t forget where we came from. Last year started the turnaround. The future is so bright! This year has been amazing. Traveled to all the playoff games with my son, met so many canes fans on those trips, and formed a tight bond. It’s hurts bad, but we’re back fellas. We just played for the national ****kng championship! We’re ******* back and there not ready for it.

We’re no longer the laughing stock. We’re the team everyone is scared to face. Now keep improving. Roster and staff. And Il see you all in Vegas next year.

I was absolutely wrong about Mario. He brought us back to the big stage. We’ll be back.
Only if we drop bags. It's ridiculous to think we can win with southie kids just because of the U.
I don't blame Jeremiah Smith and the others
