Finishing up next year's non con schedule?

James is beyond remarkably incompetent at making non con schedules on time. We still haven't finished making the 2017 non-conference schedule. He hasn't finished the 2018-19 schedules either. Anybody have any idea who they're considering for the last opponent in 2017? Right now they have ND, Toledo and FAU.

Blake James is completely incompetent. AT App State this year, AT Arkansas State next year, and AT Toledo in 2018. Why on earth are we agreeing to home and home series with these types of schools??
Incompetent, when's the last time you hired a coach the level of Richt? When the last time you raised $30mil for a indoor practice facility?
When you done either, let us know otherwise so much hot air from your corner!
PS:Above all else,James not a two bit turncoat like Hocutt at Texas Tech or that jerk that went to Neb.

Lets go to Colorado. I need an excuse to give my wife to go visit that beautifuly green state.

Heard Blake was in talks to setup a game vs Bemidji State, neutral site game in Alaska

Can we ban anybody who would name themselves 58-7?

Do you know what 58-7 is in reference to? That's the beating we put on Notre Dame in 1985. Embarrassed them on National TV. Sent their coach (Faust) packing and made the announcers cry that JJ ran up the score on ole Notre Dame. Truth is our 3rd string was whipping their tale at the end of that game.

We have Arkansas State, Toledo and Notre Dame. I'm sure the 4th spot will go to a I-AA team. Hopefully not, but it probably will. I don't see it as incompetence that he hasn't finished the schedule as much as we're going to Jonesboro. 2018 we have LSU, Toledo and FIU. 4th will probably be a I-AA. A lot of this depends on whether the ACC votes for 9 ACC games, or 8+2. If it's 8 + 2, we'll get another p5 team. If it's 9 ACC games, our schedules are done.

no if the ACC moves to 8+2 it won't happen immediately. They will give schools like 3 years. It would be kinda ridiculous to just say they all have to have 2 P5 NonCons the very next year.

This is a concern of mine. Kids don't come to Miami to play these games and it will hurt our attendance. Additionally, it hurts our chances of getting into the playoffs If we have weak schedules. I hope Richt tells him to go after more big dog programs.

Yeah, I guess so. 2-3 years.

It really won't hurt recruiting and it won't hurt the playoffs. If we go 13-0 winning the ACC we're in. If we go 12-1 winning the ACC, we have a very, very good shot.

Do people really want our OOC to be something like UF, Bama, ND, and USC?

Please tell me what other school does something like that. Look at Bama's garbage OOC schedules recently, and they've won 3 of 5 national titles.

I'll take that over the dumb anyone, anytime, anywhere mindset of people stuck in the 1980s

I don't think it's as easy to schedule a quality opponent as we're making it seem. As far as App Store, bj didn't have many options. But whatever shortcomings BJ has, I'd forgive them if he pulled out of next years app game.

After that fish smelling ***** having ***** accused our guys of playing grab ***, we should tell em to pound sand.

Yup. But the mouthbreatbers here aren't always great at strategy.

No, but what I think most people want, is for us not to go to Toledo, Jonesboro, etc. Forget Boone, that was under different circumstances. The others?

What we want, and is a reasonable expectation while having 8 conference games, is to play 2 P5 Non-Con games a year. And the other two games be home games vs whoever. the P5 Non-Cons can either be home-away series or neutral site, but the other two garbage games gotta be home. At least if its a road game vs FIU or some **** it isn't far away or anything, but a road game outside of florida vs a non P5 school is just stupid.

I'm sure Blake is working in conjunction with CMR and the football admin. Not a bad thing to play in small areas when you consider that gives recruits in those areas a chance to see the mighty Canes in their area.

Meh, I'd rather watch more fun/competitive games. Aside from FSU and Louisville/Clemson every four years we play the Coastal and 3 non conference pushovers. It's the equivalent of playing 10 mid-majors every season. Granted recently(the last decade) the mid majors have been pushing our **** in, now that we appear to be on the up-and-up I'd prefer watching actual competition.
