He's never liked Notre Dame.

Ever since the 2012 BCS Title game where Big Game Brian Kelly got the sh*t beat out of'em by Bama, he's always called Notre Dame total frauds.

He didn't think they deserved to be in the National title game last year either, even though they made it through the playoffs.

He might not think much of Miami, but he thinks even less of Notre Lame.

His job/agenda is to protect the SEC. If it was say Tennessee in place of Notre Dame (10-2 with a h2h loss) vs Miami. He would be dragging Miami through the mud.

By keeping the narrative of ND vs Miami he is keeping the spotlight off of OU with there Enos/Gattis like offense production and Bama with that albatross of a FSU loss.

This, as long as it doesn’t come at the expense of his beloved Alabammy, he can pose.
