The abomination of a season is finally over!! I have watched Hurricanes football for 40 years and this is without a doubt the worst Canes team I have ever watched and that includes 5 years of probation. I still remain stunned and numbed by how badly the coaching staff performed. We can blame the players to a degree(dont give me this "Mannys players" BS. Last season, "Mannys Players" were actually playing pretty good), but this was a coaching issue. That said, Mario WILL get this right. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind. It may take another two years but there is no way this coaching staff is this terrible. They aren't. I do have serious questions about Gattis like many of us do and that needs to be addressed quickly, but as awful as it seems now, I am still holding on for the ride that had me so excited before this season started.

I can’t tell you how relieved I am.

This season was like a never ending old school root canal, waiting to see how we could top the worst performance ever each week.

Depressed yes, but thank God the pain is over.
 
Yeah - finally. Been a fan since 83 and this really is a bottom of the barrell product, this season. I'm hopeful this gets fixed quickly but man I hate to invest too much optimism, after this nearly two decade run of bad football. We'll probably win the off season - I guess there's that.
 
This is the worse team in my 60 years of being a fan, we've had interim HC's that had better results. It is humorous to recall fire Butch banners when he built some of our best teams ever. Maybe if we fly banners to fire Mario things might improve. :haha-smiley:
