Finally Admit Lanning > Mario

Look, I know you have Mario derangement syndrome. You're on this board (and other platforms) day after day, crying about him because you have nothing in life better to do.
I’m not a huge fan of Mario either but like TDS, your MDS has clouded your judgement.
So please, tell me what Lanning has done that Mario didn’t do at Oregon despite having every advantage at Oregon?
💯💯💯💯

Lanning went unbeaten and won the B1G last season and lost to the eventual national champions in the playoffs. Can we please wait and see if Mario gets out of November alive before we dance smh

Victory laps after they lost to a top10 team just isn’t wise lol
I don’t see victory laps, I see ppl pointing out how foolish it was to crown Lanning as clearly a better coach than Mario when in reality the jury is still out on him just like Mario. Long season and a lot left to prove but crowning Lanning like this thread did on Jan was pre mature

They wanted to knock my head off on here when I said Lanning might be all smoke and mirrors if Oregon continues to fold in big games 😂😂
He can still be a good coach but I said last year both programs were at two very different starting points. I didn’t really understand why that was hard to grasp for both fan bases. Especially when you see Lucious Stanley running the rock year 1.

Every single offensive lineman Mario inherited at Miami was a natural guard (bad ones at that). Now look.

He and Lanning’s starting points weren’t even close to the same. And Mario GAVE Lanning his.

I’m riding with Mario.
This. Mario has consistently improved year over year so far (knock on wood). Lanning has done well, but unless he recovers and wins out he’s taken a step back this year and has arguably hit a ceiling.

LOL Mario has not even made the playoffs

Oregon went undefeated in the B1G, Mario has a pac 12 championship because of Covid.
