Finally Admit Lanning > Mario

Mario left Lanning a team that had won a couple pac 10 championships, rose bowl win, a dub over a good Ohio state team in the shoe, and a roster that was very blue chip heavy.

He’s done nothing to improve just maintain… trenches looked bad now that Marios guys have all phased out

It’s a long season, but Mario has built a ******* team. And he’s somehow slayed the heavy part of the schedule.

This bump is premature, but ******* delicious at the same time.
Absolutely premature for a wild cfb season so far. Just like to put things into perspective for people wanting to **** on the program without realizing the state it actually was in.

Mario recruited the talent, Lanning recruited the rankings...

Because Oregon is in Oregon that job will always have a tough mountain to climb look at all the resources they have and their first loss comes in the second week of October with plenty of opportunities for a second loss. Mario had the same issue Chip Kelly had the same issue if their facilities were in the middle of Coral Gables. They wouldn’t lose a game geography has a lot to do with their struggles, no matter how much money they have.

Reading Oregon’s board a lot of the blame is going to OL. Seems that now a former coaches players are gone it is all falling apart.
Weren't many here claiming that Lanning's success the previous 2-3 seasons was due to his quick turnover of the roster, and that Mario's guys weren't really doing much in terms of contributing to Lanning's success?

Much of the narrative here regarding Oregon post-Mario was the success was Lanning's and Mario had nothing to do with any of it, but Mario owned every bit of 5-7 post-Manny Diaz
