My point is that program building still matters, but not as much. Oregon can easily spend to snag one of the top portal quarterbacks and they’ll be back next year.

I hate Oregon, I’m glad they are suffering and Lanning is a clown. But it’s not a big leap to a Top 10 team next season for them.

… and that’s the point - you’re already talking about this season being over, and them looking forward to next season, while this season isn’t even halfway over.

With Lanning’s trend over the last couple of years, jumping back into the top 10 may be more of a leap than you're saying.
