I’ve never seen us do that…the problem with that is .. the WR would tend to try and catch the ball instead of knocking it down.. muscle memory, I guess.I mean I've seen NFL teams do that...

I'm sure I've seen Colby Young back there.I’ve never seen us do that…the problem with that is .. the WR would tend to try and catch the ball instead of knocking it down.. muscle memory, I guess.
We rush 3. I say rush 5. Heavy from one side and force him to throw across his body.
They had #34 - Aldarius Hayes - he is 6'4" 225 pounds on the ground next to their receivers and TEs.I wouldn’t mind seeing #88 out there on the end line there as a jumper, 6’ 6” who occupies space.
Agree. Was thinking that too. But sometimes sh*t just happens on a hail Mary play. I was there in person for Hail Flutie. We rush 3. I say rush 5. Heavy from one side and force him to throw across his body.
Guidry and Mario actually called a TO and neither thought to put pressure on the passer; bonehead corch move of the year so farI will die on the hill of you line your 5 best DBs up on the goal line, you rush your 5 best pass rushers, and you put your most agile backer as a spy to rush the QB after the initial surge. If he avoids 6 guys and makes a perfect throw to the endzone, so be it. But I’m never gonna let him make a casual, unimpeded throw.
But we called time out before each play …Final 2 defensive plays were just atrocious schematically
Line up all 11 defenders holding hands as a human chain at the 2 yard line, then right when their guy is about to catch it, have all 11 guys yell “MISS!”

the one that the dude caught it out of bounds. that was first down I think pre QB run. it was ridiculous that he nearly caught itWe also had a 1 v 1 play before that. Which is insane to me. Letting them go down field that fast and to allow a 1 v 1 situation to dictate the game. Last night was atrocious by the coaches and players. From god awful tackling , bad angles , assignment issues , turnovers and just awful play calling on both sides. Which is sad beens this is only the second team we’ve played that’s somewhat in our universe with talent.
that game was so long. a 730 kick ended at nearly 1145But we called time out before each play …
