The Miami Hurricanes (35-16, 15-13 ACC) dropped the series opener to the No. 11 Florida State Seminoles, 7-6, in 11 innings Thursday night at **** Howser Stadium. Florida State erased a five-run deficit with a late rally across the eighth and ninth innings before completing the comeback on a bases-loaded walk in the 11th to take the opener of the rivalry series.
