So its a dream world and we finish with:

Carter
Finley
Byrd
Richards
Miller
Trell or Davis
Random surprise player or project DT

Where would we end up? Thats a top 7 class or so in my opinion.

From that list I think we get
Finley
Byrd
Richards
Miller
Latrell is already committed so think he sticks

****, Carter and a random surprise player? I'm hoping Carter is that random signee.

EDIT- I'm not as in tune with recruiting as years past,s o idk where it would rank but i'd be ecstatic with that finish obviously

This is exactly what I think it will be with no surprises. Should be either right at #10 or slightly outside.

Either way, it definitely has to be extremely rare for a coach to get a top 10 class after being hired a month and a half before signing day. Imagine what damage will be done with a full year in 2017.

We will have a top 20 class. That's best case scenario.

I agree, its going to be small class so will not make up much ground on teams that have 25 to 30 kids. Not going see so many Gems like In the past. We will have a big class next year

Scouts and rivals always down grades UM classes but that is a top 10 class that will be ranked around 20ish.

The recruiting sites usually factor in class size when they dole out rankings. Would I like a class of 25 4 and 5 star players? Yes but with the coaching change plus the general mediocre state of the program, a small class full of contributors sprinkled in with a few special players is what we're realistically looking at. Barring some incredible, last second flips, I'd say they'll probably rank Miami's class somewhere in the high teens to low twenties. Not a bad starting point for the new staff.

I find myself not into the recruiting that much this year. Waiting for the field results. If Mark can't deliver big on the filed I will just retire from college football. Needs to get to ACC title game and beat Noles at least once. If he does, then the brand takes over next year recruiting should bump up huge -- not Butch like, but really nice.

Was this suppose to be your Facebook status or an email to your psychiatrist?

So why are you in the Recruiting Board section again?

We are already ranked #14 on ESPN with a small number of commits. You're statement is false.

There's a big gap between where ESPN has Miami and the rest of the recruiting sites. ESPN is the only one that has Miami in their top 20 currently.
False 247 has us at #17

Touche'. Regardless, the OP said "we'll have a top 20 class" and right now most recruiting sites have Miami's class rated closer to 20 than to 10. Like I said earlier, unless something drastic happens between now and signing day, the average ranking will end up somewhere in the high teens to lower twenties. Just checked to be sure but right now ESPN has Miami at 14. 247 has Miami at 17. Rivals at 21 and Scout way down at 38.
