Fight broke out during Canes practice.

You gotta remember that dork never played a down of football. In his mind, it does. He believed it would portray the image of players holding each other accountable. That’s what he saw in the movies and the stories he read while interning at ESPN.

This could very well be the catalyst these guys needed to refocus themselves and for the team leaders to assert themselves. I have my doubts though, to be honest. I think the train is too far gone down the track. Had this happened say right after the App St. close victory, I'd feel better about it. But they've waited until after an average MSU team stomped them at HRS AND losing to a below average UVA squad - at HRS.

Also, the team is so poorly coached - bad schemes, no discipline, **** ton of penalties - and we've got so many positions with bad talent that even if they do play inspired ball as a cohesive unit, they won't be able to overcome these deficiencies.

Just not seeing any hope for the season other than to get the young talent some burn.

Sphinx, These kids may be as good as we thought or not. Sometimes it really is all mental. They certainly seem disappointed in their play and they all come from winning programs.

This is truly desperation mode and SOMETIMES that can snap a team into gear.

Remember all schemes look bad when you don't execute and all schemes look good when you do. Our guys have to execute.

edit: mr. 15-0 told me to add something, so here: if the coach would have been decked, it would have been an accident. he tried to break it up and almost got popped himself (which is why i dont go into fights)

reason why they fought is because they ran sprints for penalties. if you dont show full effort, the whole group that you are in has to run the sprints all over again. some players apparently didnt, hence the fight.

player meeting happened afterwards, without the coaches being present. manny made another stupid comparison after that meeting that i dont even want to quote here...

Please don't feed the sickness. Barry Jackson constantly lies and says bull****. Yes there was a fight. Harley & gurvan tried to jump nesta. It had nothing at all to do with sprints and no assistant or any staff almost got decked cause none of them got involved in any way. There was 8 players and zero coaches. Mandy has completely lost this team. As of now I know of 7 kids (mainly all starters) who plan to transfer if he's still around and you had more than 20 players who have skipped practice multiple times this week. Mandy keeps trying to pick arguments between staph and kids and they're sick of being his scapegoat. Alot of this has to do with Mandy and d eriq. Kids know how he sacrificed him and even in that last game when he had already broke his collarbone, staph knew about it and he told trainers to just shoot him up and get him back in... This is a completely failed experiment that needs to be fixed now before it gets worse for the university.

but jokes aside, i actually had an exchange with a certain insider on here and we said the same thing. its so obvious when you watch the team that they dont want manny in here any longer. they have quit, especially the older players.

thats why the young guys come in and are hungry, they have their careers still ahead of them. guys like harvey and gurvan are at the end and so is nesta. but no one likes nesta, thats why they jump him.

if i didnt share it, someone else would have. but glad to see you coming out and setting it straight.
