Fight broke out during Canes practice.

Kid plays with some emotion but is pretty much the poster child for the all style/no substance culture. Attention *****-ing since the day he arrived.
Yup. We thought it was fun at first with the Chucky dolls but then I've quickly realized he's all talk, little to no action on the field. Actually a good microcosm for Miami football.

Apparently punches were being thrown during Canes practice. One player almost decked a defensive assistant, so it must have been some battle.

Barry Jackson delivered that info so... Idk what to say rn, whether thats a good thing or a bad thing.

edit: mr. 15-0 told me to add something, so here: if the coach would have been decked, it would have been an accident. he tried to break it up and almost got popped himself (which is why i dont go into fights)

reason why they fought is because they ran sprints for penalties. if you dont show full effort, the whole group that you are in has to run the sprints all over again. some players apparently didnt, hence the fight.

player meeting happened afterwards, without the coaches being present. manny made another stupid comparison after that meeting that i dont even want to quote here...
Extend the coaches contracts the players showing they will fight for them.😁

A long time ago when I was a wee child, we used to live next to a cattle ranch. One day, a deer tried to hop over the barbed wire fence, but didn't make all the way over and got all tangled up. It was horrible to see, just screaming like a wounded animal and flailing about. The more it flailed, the worse it got. My dad and I went out to try and free the deer but it was a lost cause. Now, if we'd cut the deer free, it might have lived for a couple more days, maybe even a week or so before being eaten alive by wolves or coyotes. We realized the only humane thing to do was to quickly end the suffering.

The school admin wants to give the team a few more days to bleed, knowing full well it is going to get eaten alive by UNC. I guess they think that's mercy.

No names needed but are the most rotten apples the younger guys or the ones on their way out the door? Asking for Mario

I'd bet my mortgage payment it's mostly the older guys.
It's like nuclear waste, the longer you are exposed, the sicker you become. To be crystal clear, Manny is the nuclear waste in this metaphor.

Edit: It's an analogy, not a metaphor. I'm about as embarrassed as Manny Diaz after peeing at a urinal next to Mack Brown.

Guess we are still in the frustration and finger pointing phase.

About a loss or two away from the
'checked out' phase.

And then...believe the phrase is, 'rats off a sinking ship.'

News - "Manny won't be fired unless the team quits on him or acts like they stop caring"

Manny - Leaks info about a fight to multiple news outlets to show they "care"
I could join in on this conspiracy theory if I was into those things , also I have trouble buying that after hearing the pregnancy quote Lol.

I bet the players are still laughing at that ****. I‘m sure that’s one of those moments they’ll be laughing at thirty years from now. Kinda like one of my fat homeboys who got stuck in a turnstile at a movie gallery in 96 lol.

To the folks saying this means nothing..hey maybe my expectations were literally at rock bottom. I honestly had this group pegged for the exit doors and most would start figuring out when they would opt out and get ready for the draft. (for those who are even good enough). Thought they would have zero care or life for the rest of this season.

Most of these kids I assume wouldnt even care enough to get into an argument let alone a fight. Thought they were all mentally checked out.

Not saying this is good or bad for the rest of the season but its exceeding any expectations I had thus far. (shrugs) Who knows. Maybe they go on a run and make a bowl game. (Manny still getting fired either way)

Only Manny and Golden could ruin a good old fashioned fight with an idiotic quote.

Maybe not only them.. i could see Butch Jones, PJ Fleck, and a few more of those guys saying something like that.

The transfer portal has done more harm than good from a culture perspective. There's plenty of butt-hurt individuals in that locker room who may not like that King, Bolden, Jarrid, Stevenson, Bolden, Johnson, came into their house, snatched the remote out their hand and switched the channel on their f-ckin' TV.

If ours was a culture of trying to win it would be one thing, but when you inject mercenaries into a locker room full of kids who put themselves ahead of the team (because that's what Miami's all about) and who already have their eyes on playing professionally, then you end up with the sh-t sangwich we have the pleasure of watching 12 Saturdays a year.

Mannure can orchestrate as many fake summer slams during practice as he wants, but it won't change the fact that Mack Brown and Sam Howell are about to come flying out from underneath the ring to hit him in the head with a chair and end his career.

I’m sure it was a nothing fight, a real fight is when after a play Zi sack our QB and Chickillo got there a little late.

I yelled at Chick why you always running late WAKE UP.

Next thing I knew I’m in the AIR , brothers IT WAS ON BIG TIME EVERYONE WAS SCARED TO GET NEAR US TILL WE FELL APART IN EXHAUSTION .

THAT WAS A MANS FIGHT

It’ll be more like 90’s ECW

What’s funny is transfers and high school kids arrive and are like “ wtf is going on here “? I’ve heard that too many times to count. From the practice / film habits and how serious they take this.
