Fight broke out during Canes practice.

I was told not to discuss it. So I left it off the board. There was a fight , but let’s be real….I’ve been posting the locker room is very toxic for a minute now. I’ve been consistent about this since Msu.
**** gets to the kids. I’m sure most played ball here and know what it’s like. The suicides, sled, up downs, and all the other annoying **** that comes with practice sucks more when you don’t see the fruit of it in the win column. Add that to the social media messages these kids receive, and the lack of PT for talented players… what would anyone do?

A fight between players is a good thing, but fighting coaches is not.
When they are these coaches, I’m not sure I agree. What better way to show how the coach has lost the team than the players revolting against him? Of course it would make finding the next coach tougher but most of these guys are so ego-soaked that they will think they can come in and get control.

Been around a lot of teams in my life playing multiple sports in college and coaching multiple sports in college. 7/10 times the locker room turmoil is what happens right before everything collapses. The other 3/10 times stuff gets straightened out and fixes the issue. If it's toxic turmoil it's gonna be the 70% most likely. If it's a tight-knit locker room and it pops off you're far more likely to turn it around.

The sad part of this is.. they can't overcome the limitations of our offensive and defensive philosophies and it's gonna only get worse.. Even if they wanted it to get better.

I'd prepare to not even make a bowl game.

Apparently punches were being thrown during Canes practice. One player almost decked a defensive assistant, so it must have been some battle.

Barry Jackson delivered that info so... Idk what to say rn, whether thats a good thing or a bad thing.

edit: mr. 15-0 told me to add something, so here: if the coach would have been decked, it would have been an accident. he tried to break it up and almost got popped himself (which is why i dont go into fights)

reason why they fought is because they ran sprints for penalties. if you dont show full effort, the whole group that you are in has to run the sprints all over again. some players apparently didnt, hence the fight.

player meeting happened afterwards, without the coaches being present. manny made another stupid comparison after that meeting that i dont even want to quote here...
Did he compare it to a sorority pillow fight?

You wouldn't have to do gassers if you
1- Didn't coach so half azzed your players are still making day 1 mistakes
2- Sat or cut the jabrones who suck vs always letting bad vets play
2b- because the only chit that should matter to a 22yo athlete is PT, they can jog gassers for days

Too stupid, too late. Manny loves getting worse instead of getting better.

6 or 8? They get bodied by freshmen in games. Now they want to pick a fight?
It said those were the ones involved, not who picked the fight. I'm thinking a Nesta or Bolden, or maybe a Harley picked it with a Scaife or Donaldson or Pope/Wiggins. That would make sense based on their level of effort during games I feel.

Wasn't there a fight in the FSU locker room before Bobby Bowden got fired?
