Ferrari fred goes in on uncle Luke

Ross has some. But Reice nah he ain't got none left. Even when he was doing his thing his name in the industry wasn't too great cause he does bad business. He burned ALOT of people. I've known trick and his family for a long time and even I know how dirty his face is. You can only do that for so long. It's not about the scene being unique. There's a few lil up and comers. But ain't no noise coming from this way. But you gotta understand I speak on a national scene. On our roster we got one dude from Florida. Far as anything that's came across my desk that ain't changing no time soon.

Who do you like from Florida?

Have you heard any of Dee Boi's material, out of Orlando?

And what do you think is holding Florida back?

I forgot about Brisco. I been on him since he was with Triple C before he signed with Cash Money. Ballgreezy still doing his thing too..

Ballgreezy been around for a minute and JUST NOW starting to make a little wave since he's making music for the chicks.
"Nice and Slow" got him a lot of play, and that Lil Duval song helped too.

Not much I've heard from Florida dudes I like. I fvck with Billy. I think the main thing holding back most Florida artists is production and their mentality. Again I'm just saying the dudes I came across. Klean has potential.

True. We were juking and bobbing up here in Hillsborough to Shone and and im so high back in 09. Wu tanging it too lol...

Like you said, miami rap has it's own distinct sound. Imo, that's what's holding that area back. Most of the local rappers were making jook music 10 yrs ago and just can't break away from that. Same thing with Tom G and Tampa crank music.

Ive said Urban but miami too cheap to make it happen. Mario, would be in there price range. I have always wanted to see gary patterson here he is a no nonsense guy. I said herm edwards years ago and people thought it was a joke. Look at him now. We need a disciplinarian here.
It is not so much money as the fact that Urban would win. They did not like us winning like we did. If they wanted winning on the cheap, Butch was right there the last two picks begging for a chance. They do not want to win, just want to cash the checks.

ASU is a 6 win team. What's so exciting about Herm?

It's amazing that our dumbass fanbase keeps asking for the big name, when we should be looking at the guy that can maximize the talent on the roster and build this program. Bill Clark is the choice. Period. Dude has built a program TWICE, with little institutional support. Dude knows what he is doing, and he wouldn't be the kind of choice that would force Miami to skimp on assistants.

It is the money, PLUS Urban would destroy this program. The problem with Urban is that you mortgage your future by hiring him. Yes, he wins short term, but he cripples your program long term. Never mind the fact that if Urban pulled the crap at Miami that he pulled at Florida and Ohio State, the Miami football program would be rolled by the powers that be.

Contrary to popular belief, there are coaches out there that can win at Miami, that aren't complete pieces of crap. Go out and find them.

Melly , Kodak Black two big dog serving time
Then we got Bruno Mali , JGreen , plus more

One thing Miami or Florida's rapper (for that matter ) should never stop doing is being ourselves , our music is still the poetry of our life .

If mainstream media likes it cool , if not stay true to your art ...

From OG....

That a a good valid reason for Miami not to hire Urban. That does not mean it is the reason Miami does not hire Urban. I've known these "fine" people for far to long to believe they EVER want our good old days back. Butch's players were not only the most talented ever, they also were outstanding character men. Miami just does not want to deal with a winning Cane football program simply because they will never get credit for it. Administration had nothing to do with the success before and know it. It was the ONLY player driven dynasty and they never liked those kids getting the credit. Howard and the couple BOT and donors who wrote the checks to get him deserve a lot of the credit for the first but it was those players who started the family and the ones who followed who make it the greatest ever. Foote hated them. Dona destroyed them and absent a couple BOT members, nobody wants it back.

Our kids did something no other kids ever did -- win 5 titles with 4 different HCs. Other dynasties had a coach or two like The Bear, or donors without limits their bank accounts, of institutional history of greatness or some combination or all of those. Howard was key to start it, but JJ was just some coach who threw himself at Sam's feet and happen to become great. Dennis won with Butch players and so did Coker. I love Howard, but Miami was his only championship. I love Butch but Miami is the place he is god of recruiting. The school will never hire another coach who will allow players capable of doing what the old guys did. Calling the administration cheap is a huge complement compared to what it really is. Heck, stupid is too.

Not disagreeing that we are under added scrutiny, but Ohio State looks like they are moving along just fine with Ryan Day and will continue to be in the playoff/championship discussion every year. Utah promoted Kyle Whittingham when Urban left and they have built a solid program there, sustaining the levels they were at when Urban left (.671 win percent under Whittingham). Maybe Florida just made two garbage hires in a row after he left?

THIS.

But history has shown that America likes Florida club music.

I have a suspicion the way our artists are operating business and marketing wise is more of an obstacle.

We still could do a better job crafting more universal songs. The writing has to improve, along with the production/engineering.

There is another level of polish that too many artists here don’t push their way towards.

Plies got pretty popular nationally but even he pulled back and said he just wanted to focus on his core audience. I have no problem with that, but that’s what mix tapes are for. Making albums should be done with the mindset of pushing your art to the limit.

As DdsdCane said, it’s the mentality.

I was on Tom heavy! Love his old material. I like Slugga (Clearwater), Skroodle (St. Pete) and Frank Lini (Ft. Myers)...and Dee Boi, Mook Boy and Tonii Boi out of Orlando.

Tom and Dee Boi are probably the only ones out of that list with actual talent...but I don't really care, I just love that grimy a$$ Florida sound.

P man was as good friend of mine. He used to look out for us when we'd go out in school. I had just left the barber shop like twenty minutes before that **** happened. Mourning was there with his 13 year old chick he was ****** too. Was real surprised when his name stayed out of that. God bless the dead though brother. P man was a stand up dude. I know Charles also.

I think you got the situations confused. P Man got shot up on the turnpike not at the shop. He got hot up by like the griffin exit.

Its crazy who done it to..but thats another story.
