Good article but manny is delusional af and isn’t sliding back to dc and we aren’t getting urban like osu did. Only way we get rid of Diaz if someone grows a pair and cleans house in ad. Throws big money for a proven hc and this team could go undefeated in 2020 much like osu did when urban came in

If leach gets fired maybe he can come down and be the OC. He does that with a legit Miami defense we might have something here but manny wants a power run scheme so we’re ****ed

Ohio State was thinking outside the box but playing the longer game.

OSU knew Meyer would be available and interested in the job.

Fickell is a former Buckeye player and coach, and served as temporary HC when Tressel served a 5-game suspension. He was promoted with every intention of hiring Meyer after Urban took a year off.

The two-year contract gave OSU an easier Plan B should Meyer decide to remain off the sideline, or, if Fickell excelled and led OSU to the type of seasons they had during the Tressel era. Had Meyer not taken the job OSU could terminate Fickell with a minimal buyout if necessary.

Fickell’s reward for participating was a co-DC job under Meyer

Glad u bringing perspective to this. Ppl think manny and leach will get along. Manny would rather UM buy him out than do that

Doubt that I his would happen while we have SJW Hilarie Bass as head of BOT. She'd change her mind if our new coach came out as tranny. Don't know her, just my hunch.

She'd probably see the money as wasted when it could used instead to fund a new institute for Women Persecuted and Harassed by Big Male Athletes or Center for Advancement for Women in the Coaching Ranks of Male Sports, intended to have affirmative action for women coaches in football. (Lingirie Football don't count.)

I don’t think Gary is that far off. Diaz would and should consider stepping down to DC and letting someone like Leach take over the offense and HC duties. That would be the only chance he would have at being a HC again down the road. Even Temple wouldn’t hire him right now.
