Ferman 'rewrote' his Monday article

These guys are so fu*cking delusional. You could argue that Aranda would be a better candidate than any of the coaches that have been discussed and we could do a whole heck of a lot worse than Mark Stoops or even Dave Clawson for that matter.

Beyond those names, any of these 'unproven' mid-major guys listed below would be an unquestionable upgrade over Diaz and probably the best coach Miami has had outside of Richt since Butch:

Napier
Chadwell
Jeff Traylor
I wouldn’t want traylor.

He does a great job of utilizing his Texas high school connections to get good San Antonio area players that Texas, okla etc don’t take.

Take away those connections, I’m not sure he is so great.

Too many teams without a coach. This is starting to look awful.

Yet Mario, Lane, and Stoops are all still on the market. They aren't dumb and going to sign with any other school during the season. Notice how Mel Tucker just set the market for a slightly above average coach? The most high demand coaches are going to wait until after the season when schools are most desperate. Mario is either staying at Oregon or will be at Miami. Hes not going to take the UF or LSU job. Kiffin desperately wants UM. If UF, LSU and UM all offer the same salary, I am 100% sure he'd pick UM. The plan B and C guys (Napier, Aranda, etc) might be off the market but there isn't anything that can be done about that.

The good news is that even in the worst case scenario and we miss on Plan A, B, C guys, UM still has a nuclear option. There is one dark horse candidate in its back pocket who has wanted the job for years. He's on record saying if he was UM coach he would "never lose a game." He wanted the job so badly he asked the former President of the United States to vouch for him to be UM HC. And this same fella was criticized for not caring at all about defense, yet this season he's got a top 25 defense to go with one of the best offenses in the country. That's right...

You should bring me in as a special gift to him. As soon as I get a feel for him and cd wrong I’ll start making gifs mocking them. Lol

CD WRONG!!! Yes!

Don't forget about HoneyIV, or HIV as we used to call him.

I know you're not a super-fan of making hilarious puns on people's log-in names, but it was a lot of fun about 15 years ago on CaneSpurt.

I remember how much **** Honeyiv caught for the picture of himself and Kyle Wright. Dude is a midget

It's a free article BTW but I'll summarize. Think it's pretty clear that he knows what he wrote was complete horsesh*t and is trying to save face:

- Columbus crew (not the MLS team) led by Mas, etc., is trying to powerbroker Cristobal to Miami; is still being pursued behind the scenes

- Another faction of the BOT wants to hire AD and have him/her make decision on Diaz

- Diaz slurper faction of the BOT (likely Epstein, et al) want Diaz to stay and have even told him his job was safe after VT

- Kiffin and Mark Stoops are interested in the job

- Initial plan was to fire Diaz after Duke without AD in place but now momentum moving towards hiring AD first and then having them make final decision

- Lashlee likely taking SMU will only hurt Diaz's chances of being retained given the work he's done with TVD
Gary is one weird dude

Let's not forget some of our most insane rivals, like Runole (good old Runny, loved to call UM "sordid and sullied") and that one Rutgers porster who always told us how Rutgers was going to overtake Miami that season (every season). I think he had the infamous thread that used the line "smooth like butter".
