Ferman reporting the money is now there to get Mario

Let's add this up:

- Mario just won the Pac-12 in year 2 at Oregon
- Had the #13th ranked class in 2018, spearheaded by Penei Sewell who will likely be a 1st round draft pick
- Had the #7 ranked class in 2019 which featured the #1 ranked overall player in Kayvon Thibodeaux
- Currently has the 18th ranked class, with commits from the #1 ranked LB in the country in Justin Flowe & is still in contention for multiple high ranking prospects that will raise their class rankings come NSD February
- Has complete lockdown of local West Coast recruiting grounds with USC, UCLA & Washington all being down as programs
- Has total support from Oregon's administration, unlimited resources from Boosters & Nike money
- Has a highly supportive dedicated fanbase, playing in front of sold out On campus stadium every game
- Doesn't have to worry about people torching him & flying banners after one year if immediate expectations aren't met
- Is in the Driver's seat to dominate the Pac-12 conference for years to come given how weak it is
- Easy road to the playoffs IF he can manage an undefeated season in the near future
- Can recruit nationally & get high level kids up to Eugene, including Florida boys
- Top level facilities

OR...

- Come to Miami & deal with Mangina James, Jenn Strawley & a BOT that's on permanent vacation
- Won't be given enough money to hire the assistants you want
- Will not have necessary financial support from the administration, recruiting budget allocation will be pennies on the dollar
- Will have to recruit against major P5 schools for local recruits while having no Bag dropping support on the ground
- Boosters that don't give AF about football
- 2nd class facilities
- No on campus stadium
- Fickle toxic fan base that will be calling for him to be fired after the first game he loses
- Will be ridiculed & clowned in the media if you fail at your hometown school
- Play in half full stadium away from campus & will not have a patient supportive fan base
- Ruin the upward trajectory of your career by going back home & getting fired in 2-3 years

If Mario left his situation at Oregon I would seriously question if there's something wrong with his head, you'd have to be on some hardcore drugs to make that dumb of a decision.

Money ain't a issue, Oregon is going to give him an extension & pay raise, there's literally not one single legitimate reason for Cristobal to leave Oregon for Miami, not one.
You haven't heard from Mario directly and the heart makes you do crazy things. Mario would love nothing else that to bring Miami back to greatness. He views Oregon as a stepping stone and stop gap position. Miami resurrection is his pinnacle. And if he comes, Blake James will not be the AD.

Why do you think Blake approved the $2M+ paid to Enos for one year? And the hiring of Alonzo? And whatever else Manny is requesting?

Blake knows that if Manny is fired after year 2, he's gone as well.

Mario in Miami will be able to recruit better than Mario in Oregon despite the financial resource disparity. There’s only a handful of programs you don’t have to jump into a plane to recruit most of your players, Miami being one of them. Oregon’s location will always be a limiting factor. Although MD is doing all that he can to burn this program down, the Miami Brand still brought in a decent recruiting class. Mario would clean shop here.

Bro kids going to nebraska now for money they will go anywhere

Dude we’ve been saying this sht for years but no one has been able to do it. If getting all Th e kids from down here was a gimme to any top recruiter Then why haven’t they come here? You dont think urban Meyer would get every 5 star in the tri county area? But he doesn’t and no one else will do it either. You don't think Saban would flip every single sofla recruits away from uga or Clemson the minute he’s announced? So answer me why they won’t do it? Why didn’t saban, Franklin, Dabo or any other elite coach come down here as soon as golden was canned? Why did we have to go after a washed up SEC coach? They know what it takes to get these kids and it ain’t just showing up here.
Do you have any idea the demands those coaches would put on this administration?
I can’t wait to see if this sht happens and watch Luigi strike out on everyone just like everyone else has when they come here.
To quote Thad Franklins dad “get the bag up or sht the fck up”

Sweet Jesus, if this isn’t the post of the Day, I don’t know what is.

Take a bow, sir.

Bro, just stop grabbing straws..

only reason Mario flys into Miami is to leverage and extension with Oregon! UM gonna get trolled by Mario, unless they are stupid enuff to give him fat stacks and a Tagfart $20 mil plus buyout!! Mario just saw how WT went at FSU and he has no risk at Oregon right now, it's all upside for him..

Peterson is out at UW, USC has 79th class, Stanford has 15 kids in the Portal and is imploding, Utah lost senior RB Moss and QB Huntley..

Mario now owns the pac12 and is going Rose Bowl at worst every year.. Only job Mario is leaving Oregon for this year or next without a $20 mil Tagfart buyout is Bama, Clemson or NFL..

I'll edit this and say UW still has some QB's to plug in since Eason is going pro and San Huard 5 star QB for 2021 coming in, they are only team with shot at Ducks, they got some players.. But Lake is rookie coach and has to make a new OC hire..

****

Sobering, but true.

Mario can tap on his desk twice and get resources for whatever he needs. Here, we can't get enough money raised for a **** Billboard.

I’ve been skeptical of Mario in the past and still am to a degree. If he wins the rose bowl then he has demonstrated he is much better than manure.

Winning the rose bowl is what does it for you..............I am not a Mario fan and would prefer someone else but he way better than dIAZ

I think it was reported the Soffers were willing to put up the 10 mil for Mario's buyout in the few hours the job was open in January

People saying there is no chance Mario comes are dead wrong. The program is in a dark place but there are people like Mario that would love nothing other than restoring the brand. It is not going to happen right now (I have heard zero news about it actually being an option this offseason) but it is definitely a viable option after year 2 of Manny if he falters again which is looking more and more likely by the second. And Blake will be fired as well.

Why would he come? Nostalgia? He's getting paid where he's at. He's recruiting well and at the top of a good power 5 conference. Playoffs and more is within his grasp.

Miami is almost a career ruiner at this point.
