Ferman reporting the money is now there to get Mario

Just watched cristobals interview for the early signing day. He carries himself like a f*cking G. That’s what a real leader looks like. I truly believe Cristobal is the guy to get us back to the top.

Momma called. And when momma calls, you gotta come runnin’

True for the Bear. Can be true for anyone. It’s really the only chance something like this happens. But I’m not in the camp of thinking it’s going to

He left Miami because he had been fired from FIU and it looked like his chances of being a HC were over. Jimmy Johnson recommended that he spend a few years working for Saban to understand how to build and sustain a program. It was by far the better career move. If he stayed with Golden, best case under Golden he recruits OL well, they win the acc coastal 1-2x and maybe by now he is working as an OC at a mid major.

I am a little surprised LCE doesn't understand that Mario looks at Miami the same way Urban looks at Notre Dame. He would have left a 12-0 Ohio State team and taken less money to be the HC of a 1 win ND team without hesitation. No one would question that.
Mario doesn't look at Miami the same way Urby feels about Notre Dame, he left here once he realized this place was a dumpster fire being ran by Mangina James.

He's taken multiple well deserved shots at Miami throughout the season clowning us while we've been wallowing in despair, especially after we lost to FIU.

There's no secret heartwarming love story where he'd walk away from the clearly better situation to come back to Miami & commit career suicide.

He already won the Pac-12 in year 2 & is tearing it up on the recruiting trail, there's no logical reason for him to come here, all this talk is just local media click baiting gullible & desperate fans clinging onto something to hope for.

Yup. It's a fantasy.

It's going to cost a fortune to get Mario.. buyout is $8 million..
Oregon offered Taggart a raise to like $4,2 million a year for 5 years, so $21 million, they will do same or more to keep Mario
FSU gave Taggart $30 million for 5 years to sign him and it was all guaranteed or 95% of it..

Mario isn't going to take less than Taggart and you gotta add in Manny's buyout..

So your talking around a $40 million dollar NUT to drop to get Mario and a huge Taggart like buyout to fire him..

If UM comes after Mario then he is gonna leverage that into a big fat extension! Mario isn't leaving Oregon..

Mario lost decommits from DB's Avante Williamns, Myles Schluster and WR Johnny Wilson all 4 stars, and still was right with UM in class rankings. Mario has 4 star CB Donte Manning signed and gonna announce at All American bowl this week, Bama 4 star DT commit Jayson Jones is latest crystal ball to Mario for late signing period. Mario just got two best ILB in the nation, Flowe and Sewell, and # 3 Pro QB Butterfield who is 6'6" kid, #10 Dual QB Robby Ashford..

Shough his redshirt Soph QB is 6'5" #3 Pro style for his class and could be a 1st round pick in two years, watch his film.. Mario has Hugh Millen of UW fames son a 2019 QB signing.. Mario has Penie Sewell Outland winner back at Tackle, back to back 1000 yard runner coming back, has 5 star Frosh All American DE Thib who has 9 sacks starting part time this year back, Frosh Mase Funa who had 5 sacks at LB who was highest LB recruit in program history until this year. He has a 2018 top 100 player at Tackle to plug in and best 2018 JUCO lineman, the Ducks will be bigger on the line next year. He could have two 3 years starting DB's coming back and lots of 4 stars to plug in on D and O..

UW lost Chris Peterson and Jimmie Lake is rookie head coach. USC has DB Clay Helton and 79th rated 2020 class. Stanford has 15 transfers and is a mess. The Pac12 is face down and *** up for Mario to rape!

Mario is on the cusp of nailing down two more Pac12 titles and maybe making a Playoff in his first 4 years at Oregon.. Not only will Oregon extend him and he will git his money now, he will be able to be in the conversation for any job he wants.. Saban retires and he will get looked at by Bama, NFL could come calling.. Or Mario can come home to the U on his own time and make them back the Brinks truck up to get him..

Mario would be a fool to walk away from what he has at Oregon, he has the chance to make his name go to the top of the college coaching ranks in the next two years!!

Mario's vision is also the Big Oline, pound the rock like Bama did with Mark Ingram and Derick Henry, he aint got that Oline at the U right now.. So The U is a total rebuild for Marios vision.. Mario want to be Bama SEC tough in the Trenches, he wants to posses the ball and beat teams up.. I'm not sure fans at The U are gonna jive with that..

Mario also needs to fix his in game fck ups, learn to save a timeout to ice a kicker.. He needs to get that Saban opened up his offense.. If Mario wants to make the playoff he has to open his offense up and get a little better in game as a coach.. If Mario makes the playoffs with his pound the rock and at times very predicable offense he will have the worst offense of the 4 teams..

I love lots about Mario.. He has a compete every day culture much like Pete Carrol did.. EE are coming in and if your good enough then you are pressing kids ahead of you for playing time in the Spring.. Mario is iron sharpens iron guy, he don't play favs, you keep what you kill in his program..

I remember seeing Cristobol on the sidelines of a high school game at FIU stadium between Northwestern and Central, with Devante Freeman,Teday Bridgewater, Eli Rogers, Amari Cooper, and several other major recruits on the field. He was there, and was interested in everything that was going on. Cristobol loves football and he loves coaching. The Canes need a coach like him, but I am not sure if it is realistic

It is pretty funny to read people talk about what Cristobal actually wants as if they know him. I would imagine UM would have to prove to him that they're serious which is always a question but Oregon just watched Willie Taggart ditch them because FSU was his "dream job". FSU was a mess, their administration was in chaos and he left a stable situation because he loved FSU and the state of Florida. Taggart didn't even play at FSU. Coaches are arrogant which means they think they can fix anything. They love their school to a fault too.

It's funny...when Mario was available nobody wanted a coach FIU had fired.
Now everyone wants him.
too late...he isn't an up and comer anymore...he's proven success.

Willie Taggart is an idiot. You see how that worked out for him right? He went back to his hometown team & left a better situation to coach at a his "dream job" & got canned in 21 months.

Is Cristobal equally as stupid as a Taggart? I doubt he is...

Same reason Alonso Highsmith said he would only leave the NFL for a job with the Miami Hurricanes program. It runs deeper than dollars and cents. Miami has been terrible most of the decade. Hypothetically, if he left Oregon after a Rose Bowl win and #5 ranking for Miami, then even if he couldn't replicate the results at Miami in 3 years no other AD would care and he'd land as a HC at another P5 job afterwards. Other ADs know what kind of admin he is dealing with at Miami.

LSU didn't care that Nick Saban went 34-24 at Michigan and won more than 6 games only twice in five seasons. Good ADs recognize good coaches because they understand what they were working with. Not having success at Miami wouldn't hurt Cristobal's rep at all. It would be a no lose situation. Anyone who says it is "career suicide" is a fool. Win and he gets a statue and goes into the city of Miami pantheon with Shula, Schnelly, JJ, and Butch. Fail and he ends up as the HC at WSU or Wake Forest making just as much $$$. And as someone pointed out, Phil Knight is 81 years old. That gravy train at Oregon isn't going to last forever. And this discussion is really about 2021, not 2020. Diaz will be the coach next year.

I don't want my comments to misconstrue things. Mario is NOT going to be the HC next year at Miami. But he will listen if/when Manny is fired after year 2 and if he hears and is promised in writing the things he will demand beyond compensation.

This stuff is nonsense. And there is no way I'd hire Mario either

The idea of Mario's demands. He hasnt done **** and people acting like it would be a savior. Got embarrassed by Herm Edward's with everything on the line with a way better team.
