At this point I hope for any news. I hope Gary is correct.
Can you post anything substantiating the alleged "hint."

Why not just fire him? That's what most schools would do.Creating a role specific to football makes a ton of sense. It’s basically removing James without having to fire him.
Actually that is what people are assuming... That rumor a few weeks back was just about Highsmith becoming AD ... I don't believe it and you are correct about James... I just wonder when these rumors come up if people really think it through or just really let blind fandom consume rational reasoning...I don't think anyone is assuming that he would be brought in as AD. Despite the rhetoric, Blake James is actually pretty good at the other stuff. AH would be here to run football.

I have it on good authority that I am in the process of sealing a 3-year deal as our next OC, wish me luck.
You wouldn’t have to do much to be better than what we have now.I have it on good authority that I am in the process of sealing a 3-year deal as our next OC, wish me luck.
I like a BéchamelSauces?
That’s why this is hard for me to believe. He’ll be an NFL GM soon, if not next seasonIsn't he in line for an NFL GM job? Why would he come here to work under Flake James?
Yes he came out and said Mario is about to sign a huge extension so he is out, but AH is in the worksFerman referenced it on his weekly podcast Tuesday as something that is being discussed with the administration and that Highsmith is Interested as a football only GM role. He felt it had a “reasonable” chance of furition. Since I don’t have a subscription to his site I’m unsure if Ferman elaborated further later.
